due to the recent availability ... or lack of... on bidville... it is unable to perform search function as of this writing... i have move my listings to ioffer .
the site is easy to navigate, free to list (upgrades cost a few cents), listings run for 30 days. if item sells, then there is a very nomial fv charged.
site is good looking, growing, and if / when bidville falls, ioffer will be in second place.
also... you can import your auctions from other sites, and your feedback as well. no need to re-type all your ads.
check it out.

Not necessarily, viewit. Just because support posted an apology and painted a rosy picture at B-Ville, it does not mean that all is well.
An apology is nice, but they've demonstrated a complete lack of respect for members by leaving them swinging in the wind w/ CS issues and ongoing billing issues.
"As a publicly traded Company on the stock market, we have to be very careful on the timing of the release of information regarding the Company’s financial position and its operational changes."
This is B.S.
You announce to your community that certain things are being upgraded or going through a maintenance period when you have to take things offline - that is not divulging anything about the company's financial position or operational changes.
The announcement states that the message boards will be cleaned up and maintained on a regular basis. How does the obvious neglegence of the fourms effect releasing position or operational change information?
Archiving old, outdated information has nothing to do with releasing information - it's routine maintenance.
If you read through their own forum, you will find apologies for CS and billing errors dating back to 2004.
If you access other auction forums, you will find posts by members regarding these, and more, problems dating back to 2004.
This is a B.S. dance.
Whether or not you list at B-Ville, diversification is good.
Whether B-Ville or any other venue, buying lock, stock and barrel into the corporate line is bad. |

I kind of have to agreee with lurkeylou on this one...BV is very easy to use and should be the #2 site among all of these others out there, yet I see no traffic, as for my items and many others I check on...
There always seems to be some type of trouble with CS, searches, scammers, etc....One merely has to read their boards....
Not sure if BV will totally fail but unless they clean up there act and attempt to answer sellers request, they'll become another lunarbid....
I'm currently letting my stuff end at BV and more than likely will not relist...

| Lurkey, you could use logic as you have to prove your point, but I doubt view-it's taking the Bidville uniform off. |
