Hi,
I'm new to PSU and I'm considering signing up for a PSU pre-installed store but I want to make sure I understand it all correctly.
I signed up for Express hosting a few months ago and installed Zen Cart with fantastico but I’m completely new to all this so I’m finding it hard and haven’t got much done and have been searching for an easier cart solution.
I have gone through the PSU store demo and it’s so much easier than Zen cart and there seems to be a lot of help on here as well which is reassuring.
I have a domain name and hosting account with Express hosting so do I just close the account keeping the domain name? and then I assume the web space/hosting will be with PSU and will link up to my domain name? Would I need to do anything else?
I have a PayPal account already, which I use with my Ebay account. Is it easy to get PayPal to work with PSU store and do I have to pay extra for this?
I see that there is an option to buy and install google checkout. If I sign up Google checkout separately does this still apply?
I’m pretty sure I’ll sign up but I keep thinking I’ve missed something.
No doubt I will have more questions as and when I sign up.

Evelyn,
There is no additional cost for PP and GC in the PSU store. It is very easy to use both these payment methods. There is a little bit of a learning curve but there is a lot of help here answering your questions.
The PSU stores are well worth it. I love mine.

| You can keep the domain with at your existing service. All you need to do is change the DNS on your domain name to point to ours. Once that is done your domain will point to our servers. |

Thank you both for your quick replies!
I signed up for a PSU store earlier and I'm now waiting for my sales order confirmation.
I have also changed the DNS information in my old Hosts control panel.
Hopefully I have done everything right. |

Welcome to PSU Stores! You're gonna love it! :D
Once you get into the PSU Stores help forum, you'll find tons of useful information & discussions to help you get going. And there are links to tutorials and manuals there too.
Previous discussions include:
How to change your template
How to change your logo
How to configure your store
and lots of other stuff. :D And if you get stuck, just post. One of us is usually around to help out too. We've become a neighborhood of stores and good friends.

Evelyn,
Sylvia is one of the resources I really appreciated when I was setting up my store.
And I still ask her questions.
Sylvia I pm you a question a few days ago, did you get it.

Your I tried your domain and your store is already up and running. You should also now have access to the hosting and support forum. |

Thanks for the kind words, Terry! And No, darlin' - no pm from ya! :(
Working on my sites today as I'm too achy & sore to work on Mom's yard OR mine...LOL. I'm around!
And Evelyn, Terry is the BEST for uncomplicating things. If you want a great, easy way to do something, Terry is your go-to! Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees. heh....
And PSUnite? he da MAN! He can do ANYTHING! (Trust me, if it's been made, I've broken it  I'm sure his hair is gray).
And now that you know I'm kooky....i'm off.... :type:
