What sort of scam are these people trying to run on craig's list? I get emails asking about an item and offering $50.00 over to close the listing. Then they say they will send a check and their shipper will pick it up. I tell them checks are held for 10 days so just send cash with the shipper. That is the last I hear from them.
Not the usual "I'll over pay and you pay me back" So what sort of scam is this? Sounds like a lot of effort just to bounce a check. So what's up here? |

Saw this same scam on another thread here the other day.
They send fake money orders for you to deposit, with extra funds to pay the shipper who only accepts the cash you got from the MO's. By the time they bounce he is long gone with your funds. :evil: |

OK now that sounds like a scam but why in the world would people not wait for the MO to clear if it is questionable?
So the shipper takes the cash back to him? |

Exactly, I hear it is a Nigerian Theft Ring, but any one can do it, if there are willing victims. :roll: |
