What are the top 3 reasons you like Blujay? (Please if you don't like Blujay there are plenty of threads for you to post in - this is ONLY for the 3 things you like about Blujay!)

Mine are:

Ease of listing

The way the home page is set up

Help is always available

I have more - but I'm only listing 3 reasons :)

Beautiful design.

Easy for Sellers to list.

Easy for buyers to find items and buy.

One thing I do not like is that people are attacked for trying to bring up valid points about what what would improve the site. Attacking people who really love and support the site instead of addressing and acknowledging their concerns only causes bigger problems. If there is a problem that is hurting a site trying to hide it or pretend it does not exist will NOT help the community or the site.

1. HTML
2. Real Easy to List
3. Have had sales there and free but I guess that doesn't count

Patchdog,
Most of this garbage is all about forum drama on various blujay threads recently. Not much is about valid points at all. Of course we can suggest improvements that we like for BJ but will it happen, who knows. Will Ecrater ever let HTML in, who knows? By the way, I did try ecrater out for 3 weeks and the 30 days ebid seller plus account when I was disgusted with how I was being shunned in Google Shopping at BJ and did have some views but no bites/sales. I personally am going to use my own website and submit directly to google in a few months and will use blujay simply because the html and easier listing is better for me. Wont' have to worry about the darned google issues that some experience and others don't.

My Top 3 Reasons I was FIRST Attracted To Blujay were:

1. Free Online Webstore (unlimited listings).
2. No Fees Involved.
3. Easiest Format to list items on the web.

Now with all those Wonderful Positive things I just stated. All I want to know is WHEN is Admin going to get that Froogle Thing off the website??? Its on the front page of the Website and its also on each Listing. That went out with the VW Bus.

Patch is right, I am a Blujay Seller and have leg concerns for the website. First thing I notice is the website is NOT being taken care of, not sure why?
Like a Friend of mine had said to me last night, she thinks its on AUTO PILOT.

I love that Blujay is free, but don't like the Neglect its getting. I could only wish the Owner would read some of these posts. I am positive he doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, I DO LOVE Blujay, but want it to succeed and NOT go away, like the others have that were neglected. Websites come and go, and ADMIN just needs to put alittle more time and energy into updating everything.

Now if he could just get together with the Admin of Ecrater, they could show Blujay the road to success.

Wow! Where to start -

1. I love the ease of listing - and the flexibility. A little imagination and you can do all kinds of things in your store. HTML too - that's a real plus!

2. The community - so supportive and helpful. When I was new, I was in the forums asking a million questions and everyone was (and still is) great. Also - this is a community that is genuinely happy when a seller is successul, and genuinely concerned when a seller has a problem or crisis.

3. The sales - I never thought I would be this successful - BluJay has been a great venue for me. Yes, one has to promote, but one has to do that at almost any other site (except you know where) especially if the site does not charge fees. (and the BJ forums are full of promo ideas)

Classic...I am not pointing out any flaws with BluJay the site itself, just what I have seen and experienced when myself and others tried to point out flaws. I am done with that.

I am starting to come to the conclusion that the older established sites have just started resting on their laurels and they are way behind the curve on a lot of things.

Check out Bonanzle and Atomic Mall....I think you will find them to be a breath of fresh air. We can keep hanging on to these older sites and keep our fingers crossed or we can go with sites that are more innovative, more in tune with our needs and most importantly, young and hungry.

Patchdog,
1st, I apologize to GNG for going off topic and won't post further on this topic. I love blujay and there is a certain reason why I'm hanging on. Something that is supposed to take place and a lot of changes with the site in general. Its nothing new since certain people spilled the beans long before I have mentioned this, but I'm getting a little impatient with waiting. I have checked out both of those sites but I am reluctant to move to something new, especially when so new. I'm hoping Blujay keeps up with changes and doesn't settle into the rut that Ecrater has about no html, etc. If you like pizzazz and colors, blujay and ecrater are simple. It's a new world out there and those sites look sweet and cutting edge: especially the Mall. I am not jumping on you about Blujay and its faults, both ecrater and blujay have its faults but I'm set up at BLujay and have so much promotion there and have had sales on a fairly regular basis, and I'm comfortable there with the listing and HTML, I'm just frustrated because I want to sell items and it seems some people want to destroy blujay because of personal issues with the forums. I just want peace and concentrating on selling. I'm just waiting on the new blujay site and see what it does. I'll have my own domain name so if need be I have more options than now.

Why not branch out to AM? If you want to increase your sales, ADD one or more sites onto what you already have going at Blujay. It would be silly to move if you're happy and have a lot of time invested there, but certainly a great idea to increase your sales by expanding to one or more additional sites.
