Is it considered spam if you list different things within a type? If you sell coins, and one ad is for a silver dollar, and another is for a buffalo nickel, another for a dime, is that considered spam?
How many items can be posted in the same day under one category? |

Hi, I just tried this html coding in Craigslist and the link does not appear in my ad. I went back to edit the ad and in the <> brackets it states 'nofollow'. I tried to use another http webstore address I have, and the same thing.
Has Craigslist caught on and they automatically delete the link coding? Does anybody know? |

GJ - It is possible and I am limited on time today. If someone else doesn't come along to 'test' and/or confirm, I'll try to do so later this evening or first thing tomorrow!
kellie - I have never heard of any limit on the # of items nor a variety of how you list. I hope that makes sense.
BW - makes perfect sense. I believe that most intend to try and include a link out with a real ad - I know that's my intent!  |

I have added active links to my ecrater store several times. ;) They only get removed if they are flagged three times by other users. Most people, unless they are competition, or unless you're REALLY spamming with tons of messages, don't bother and don't care.
I just sold an American Girl doll through my Ecrater store that I'd listed on Craigslist. I put it on with a direct link to my store - buyer bought the doll and an extra outfit from my store also. The hits on the doll went from 20 or so to 56 by the time she had bought it, about 2 days after I listed it on CL.
So it does indeed drive traffic to sites, IF you can keep the message there long enough to be seen without getting flagged. |

But have you included a link in your Craig's Listing since yesterday? I ask because I cannot get an html code for a link to work on Craig's List as of yesterday.
Please let me know--it would be greatly appreciated.

I use links on craigs to my website but I think they blank them out for ebay and other selling venues. They are a major source of traffic to my websites.
I do sell things on craigs too and you can write the ad any way you want and offer anything you want to unless they bar it from being sold on their site. |

Hi,
Thanks for your info. I just did a listing and included my link in parenthesis and it worked. Ex: (http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/reg101) --- it highlighted the url within the parenthesis.
I came across a computer for sale that had a computer store website listed this way so I thought I would give it a try.
Again, thank you for sharing. |
