Howdy and welcome, it's nice to see a site introduced that's already popular. How many listings do you have? If you have 10 000+ Your listings will be tracked on the Auction Site Count tool. Please, tell us more instead of the old marketing pitch and I garauntee many will show interest

Thanks for joining PSU! :D.

Hey roundabout!

I saw a posting by one of their users here and thought I'd check em out...

Over 12,000 items listed and over 9200 registered users...

Lots of traffic, easy to use, free and lots of the goodies us sellers like...

I just started listing there and already have my eye on some of their seller's listed items...

They're kind of a quite bunch over there but they sure have a lot going for them!

Not sure how STR is though but for the $$ spent? ($0) I think it's worth a try...

Thanks for filling me in 'Gato! I think I might join you and Dep over there. The hard part for us isn't signing up, it's getting items listed. Our darn templates all have a reference to our eBay store lol.

I'm really anxious to get started on few of these alternative gems!

Just signed up there too. I did check this place out when it first opened. I don't think I signed up then and if I did, I have no idea what user name I may have used but I know I had not listed if I had.

I pick and choose sites and try them for at least 6 months to see if what I have avaliable attracks people's attention and results in a sale.

:)

I like ibidfree, too, except for one thing. Why does it cost $10 to be verified when it only runs $1 or $2 on the other sites for the same service? If you care to knock that down you'll probably get quite a few more people that would do it. I don't mind a buck or even two, but ten is waaay out there. :?

Hek I thought I read everything over there yet I keep hearing about this verified thing....
I paid nothing and plan on listing over there until told otherwise...

It might be like onlineauction.com's policy to where they want their users to be verified so they can keep out the scammers and it works great!

I'll keep you informed reference sales over there, though I need to list a bunch of more stuff

Gato.. you don't HAVE to be verified, it is
a option..Many members are though. We didn't
go through the $10.00 verification process.
Very nice site...:)

Gotcha JB--Did not think it was required but like the option anyway, especially for buyers...

If things start moving over there it might be worth the $10, even though I'm mainly a seller...

Thanks!

This is why I love Seller Sourcebook and look for sites that I can use it on. I finally have all of my preferences saved in a generic way so all I have to do is get the code and drop it into the description.

The only place I can't do this is OnlineAuction and that's why I have so little listed there. It's a lot of work to list there:(

I think $10 is a bit much for a buyer to become verified.

The Verified Member option is a relatively new thing. I don't mind however. As a seller and a buyer on the site, I have had several instances where con artists were trying to screw me. This way, you know the person you are dealing with is who they claim they are. Remember, it's an option. You do not have to be a verified member to buy or sell.

One last thing...FYI the site's owner emailed me that they were in the process of a major upgrade to their system. He did not give specifics, but stated that the expected completion date would be 11/1/05. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for clarifying all that up ibgeno!

As with most sites, when new sellers come aboard there are questions and it's nice when we can get needed answers...

Did not know about the upgrades either so please keep us posted...

Another board I hang out on mentioned that Ibidfree was "for sale" this summer.

What is the status of that? Was it sold or did they change their mind?

BTW, I saw someone holding a sign "Ibidfree.com", in the crowd background on the Today show on Monday during the Bette Midler concert.

Also, could we get Ibidfree and Loudfrog added to the "counts" list?

Carol
