If it is fake and in violation of copyrights or IP rights, yes, they will give you the boot...as they should... |

DL is correct.
Overall it depends on the item and how its presented. A few years back there was ton of chinese reproduction galle' glass on ebay and some sellers were selling it as real, some were selling it a reproduction. the ones selling it as real were a-holes and scammers.
As long as it legal and represented as a reproduction, it should be fine.

Don't you believe it! ;) Replica items are problematic on the venue, and it doesn't matter at all how you present it. |

| I'll have to agree. I am always watching Ebay for closeouts on American made pewter as one major manufacturer has closed down. Some other pieces have caught my eye and I messed up and bought a few only to have them show up as made in China. As heavy as they are, they have to have a high lead content and who knows what the ratio of other metals are. They are advertised as pewter, but Ebay allows that term to be used very loosely. One of those items that has to be disposed of properly...not in the landfill. |

| According to the companies names you have listed coach, armani, prada they do not allow their products to be sold wholesale. Also 2 of those have publicly stated eluxury or their own site are the only sites that are authorized to sell their products on the internet. |

This is true to a degree. There are some closeouts available from these companies. They don't happen often but they do sometimes. I managed to get some Prada authentic sunglasses, older styles, and they were authentic. Armani, is available quite easily and 100% authentic. |

There are sometimes closeouts available at the stores that retail these items, but NEVER from the companies themselves.
End of year and past years goods, but not the current year fashions.
And the big designer names consider anyone other than their approved retailers selling their product to be selling counterfeit and have quite often gone after them in court. |

Well there goes eluxary
After almost a decade as a pioneer in luxury e-commerce, ELUXURY will be closing. We would like to thank you for your loyalty over the years...has been transformed into a web magazine called Nowness. |

There actually is a vetted designer brand name wholesaler in the U.S. http://www.luxurymagazzino.com/ that resell authentic designer brands. I'm one of their paying members (you have to pay an annaul fee to get better pricing). Their prices are pretty high but you can make a profit. Because of these difficult economic times, I have not really bought much from them.
I shouldn't really be giving this information out, but I also realize so many people are trying to make a living these days so perhaps this can be of some help. It's very difficult to find an authentic source for these products.
Good luck! |

Most of the designer brands have a tightly controlled distribution channels that often, the only way to get authentic merchandise at wholesale prices is to go to the company directly. They would usually have their own set of authorized dealers. You can contact their authorized distributors or you can inquire how you could become an authorized distributor yourself.
The SaleHoo directory contains suppliers for authentic brand-name products as well as suppliers of generic brands.
Suppliers of authentic brands should provide you with official authentication paperwork when you purchase these products.
All the suppliers are verified and offer safe payment methods, so if the product you order is anything less than you expected, you are able to get your money back easily.
All the best! |
