| If you have a website; and also have items listed on various auction sites; Google will deny your request to have a "multi-client" account as they done to us yesterday. They claim that the same items would be submitted more than once. I guess that we would have to set up several Google Base accounts in order to submit several product feeds. If anyone has encountered this situation; or has any better ideas on submitting several product feeds; please let me know. Thanks! |

| Just create another Google account. It's easy. I set up my fourth Google account yesterday for another Google Base feed. I have Google accounts for my website, Atomic Mall, FeeBay store, and Bonanzle. |

| It's a pain, but you have to do it. I have four myself. One for eCrater, Atomic Mall, Bonanzle and one for my web site. |

What is the advantage of having multiple feeds of the same products? I can see how using several feeds might swamp a competitor with only one feed, but only until he follows suit and then do the multiples really serve anyone? I can understand why Google would discourage it, and if they are taking action against duplication in feeds it's only a matter of time until the workarounds are squelched.
I can see a downside though. The google product listings do tie into the natural google search and duplicate content can be penalized there. Sometimes severely and irrevocably. Just my opinion but the simplest solution is: don't. Send a feed from your own website, or the aggregation site of your choice, and no other. |

Makes sense wp,
But for now to get noticed at different selling sites it is the best way to get it done. I always try to change something in the listing from different sites to avoid exact duplicates for that very reason. Until another site can compete with feebay and I can just list my wares and let them go for a decent auction price, then we have to play the Google Feed game. Unless you just want all the work from a different site to sit there unnoticed, and wait for some forum buddies to make a purchase. I am hungry enough without playing that game instead.
Having your own website is great, but for many, it is not as lucrative as a community site like Atomic Mall or Ruby Lane. People have an understanding that a community site does Police their sellers and keep some form of Honesty, where with your own Website it is up to you to be honest and have Integrity. It takes a little longer to build your customer base who has trust in YOU and your Products. So while your building that trust and customer base it only makes sense to join an Alternative site and list your items there as well. Hence the need for multiple feeds. JMO |
