(My question from another thread):

If customers don't want to use PayPal, or any of the other payment avenues, would you be required to also have a separate credit card gateway account, or is that also covered one of those payment choices that comes along with the PSU store?

Thanks.

Hi - a few more questions:

1. Does the PSU store automatically feed to Froogle or would that be a future option?

2. If more space is needed, would there be the option to upgrade?

3. Is there a bandwidth limit?

Thank you!

1. Does the PSU store automatically feed to Froogle or would that be a future option?
Right now the PSU store will automatically create a Froogle feed for you and all you have to do is upload it to Froogle. In the future we are going to work on creating an automatic froogle feed that will feed everyone's store into our Powersellersunite feed. Then you can also feed the store into your own manually

2. If more space is needed, would there be the option to upgrade?
Store space can easily be added also. We just used 500 MB as an arbitrary number since most stores are less then 50 megs and we have only seen the largest stores use 250 MB.

3. Is there a bandwidth limit?
We can easily add bandwidth as well. We start out with 30 GB for now.

For your site to use more then 30 GB of transfer/bandwidth your site would have to be receiving a large number of visitors on a daily basis and/or have many pages that are being accessed.

Example: Every time one of your web pages is viewed by someone on the internet, the size of that page goes towards your bandwidth usage. Below is an example of how many times a page would have to be viewed to reach 30 GB of transfer

10 KB pages = 31,457,280 / 10 = 3,145,728 views
20 KB pages = 31,457,280 / 20 = 1,572,864 views
30 KB pages = 31,457,280 / 30 = 1,048,576 views
40 KB pages = 31,457,280 / 40 = 786,432 views

currently powersellersunite.com doesn't even exceed the bandwith limit so your store will have to be getting some serious traffic.

Hi,as far as the shopping cart goes how does it work if you charge actual postage and insurance like I do. Do you have to have shipping and handling on your items to have a PSU store? When someone buys an item from me I need their zip code to find out what the shipping will be. E-You,Later!

You can use two different shipping methods.
We have a zone shipping module where you can put a cost of shipping to each zone or you can use the usps shipping modules which will get the exact cost from usps.(to use the usps shipping module you will need to get a username and password from usps.com)

A quick question about PSU stores - do we have to purchase a domain name separately from GoDaddy or another domain service, or is it included? Thanks.

Currently we do not have the ablilty to register domains. We are working on adding that feature. For now you will have to register your domain with a registar of your choice like godaddy.

This might be the wrong topic for this, but where can I find out how to advertise on PSU? I am interested in a banner or other image ad.

Please advise,
Lane

Before i signed up i told them i wanted to get a website up and running and they told me that no problem they would help all the way and make sure i had it running. 2 months no later no website and when i ask questions like how do i use csv files they told me "we dont program your site"

Ok well they are bye bye now;

Let me be blunt...i dont know how to do csv files but am willing to learn. the dropshipper i use for my sterling has a full csv file ready for download and then i was going to put all my ebay stuff and homemade stuff on turbolister and make a csv file there as well. But i dont know how to uses them or set them up.

I have only one hand that works and then to top it all off i just got told yesterday that i was laid off and now cant even have the surgery that i was scheduled for on 9/8/06.

now my union job has gone bye bye thanks to china making it cheaper and i am the only income in the house as my wife is to ill to work.

I plan on taking advantage of the 2 years of education they will give me. and amm hoping that bewtween my umemployment and the website to make it thru school

Well getting a site thru here the big site........well yall help me get it up and running?

I even have an idea for how i want it to look and what i want it to say.

Im willing to spend money on adwords click thrus and the like.

i just need an up and running site and to be shown how to do it.
I even plan on going to school for computer tech (2years) believe it or not cuz i have been around these things since the tandy 1000!!

Will you help me????

Yes, there is plenty of help available here. To be truthful with you, I don't really understand csv files either. (I do a darn good cut & paste though.) However, I did manage to get my site up and running with in a few days and stocked withing a couple of weeks. LOTS of help was needed. Most of the techno babble is way above my head.

Kevin is correct in what he shares from what I hear! Two folks I know that are volunteer helpers with the PSU stores have skills that circle my head ten times over....

I've not yet heard anything but praise for the PSU store set-up and the support they get. I think you'll be in very good hands - from what I've heard!

Best of efforts to you with your site/sales and I too - am semi-clueless on CSV!!! Perhaps we should start a club - or something!!

Welcome to PSU by the way - glad you're here!! :D :D
