Decimal Factor Inc. wants me to get merchant processing through their company. They say it would be less expensive that my Authorize.net merchant account.
I don't know if they are legitimate or a scam of some kind.
Does anyone know, or use them? |

Heya,
One way to check any merchant agent out is to request an application and see what bank it's for. Also request copies of the contract and scrutinize the fine print. They may be perfectly fine, but it's the contract that you sign with the underwriting bank that'll determine if it's really a good deal or not.
If the app doesn't have a bank named, they could be a white label (their own brand) but still ask who the actual bank will be doing the processing. That, and the terms of the contract matter the most. Probably the worst trap people fall into is "teaser rates" that adjust skyward after six months or a year. On those, they bury it in the fine print and I've even heard agents lie about it not adjusting. |

That WAS a while back. I never did anything about it. I just stayed with the Merchant account I had.
Got an email notice about this answer, so came over to look. |
