CARDMANLOU1 who has been there since 2004 left, and took all his listings with him.

This is all he said in the forum. In the second one you can kind of read between the lines as to why he left. It's sort of obvious.

"HI EVERYONE, SORRY ABOUT THE DROP IN AUCTION COUNT. I PULLED ALL MY AUCTIONS TO UNSOLD.

FROM THERE OLA DELETED THEM OFF.

I HOPE YOU ALL GREAT SUCESS. AND THE SECUSS OF OLA

GOODBYE CARDMAN"

"Thank you everyone. It has been a long ride. And the bus driver and I didn't always see eye to eye on how to get us to our destination.

So it's way time for me to get off the bus. I hope I'm wrong and the ola bus trip you all are on will make it to its destination.

I hope that ola will always but it's members first. And fix the think you, guys have been asking for, past year.

from time to time I'll be checking on you all. It is hard to chance 4 plus year habit
Lou"

That is one of the dangers of telling your members to try other sites, because they will find out that most sites actually do help you increase your sales and do upgrades in a timely manner.

What a major stupid mistake.

So..... any ideas on where CardmanLou is going to be going? His own website, perhaps? Or will he be trying another alternative site?

OLA is telling their members to try out other sites? Pretty arrogant if you ask me.

That's what happens when a site has too many "Stepford Sellers" who will support the site no matter what, right or wrong.....makes the owner too smug and confident....when members stop questioning a site and defend the site even when it might be wrong, that's when problems arise....site owners need to be kept on their toes and challenged...in the long run, it is better for everyone....that doesnt mean they should kiss sellers a$$es....but it means they should do what is best for the site AND for the sellers....

In todays economy, and in light of what happened with eBay, it makes sense to diversify.

Patch, I'm surprised at you. Taking what others say at face value, especially here in this particular forum? Let me assure you that the others are not giving the full explaination of what Chris Fain said. They're not lying... just not telling the whole truth.

That's all I'm going to say on this because I'm just plain tired of fighting with you guys.

Im sorry I dont care whose behind your lips are attached to, an almost 25% drop in listings is horrible.

You cant spin that into a good thing.

Very Nice Crotchety... I'm impressed you kept this down to just two lines of response... not quite what I said, but then again, it's only about 1/10 of the rant I expected from you...

The point has always been this for me. Does OLA have the basics to help a seller be successful. I'm not talking a few hundred a month. I'm talking $1000's a month. The answer to me has always been NO.

I don't want to spend all my extra time blogging or whatever to sell my items.

I want to join a site that will help me with my sales.

So many things not right with OLA it is just so SAD.

As a owner you should have confidence in your site. To say use OLA to enhance your sales at other sites is just stupid. If he really believed you could make a living at OLA he would not be encouraging people to use other sites.

If I did that I would lose my job.

It only takes a couple of words to point out the obvious.
No one rants like you do, Metzy.

I'm not interested in your invitation.
