Greetings everyone!!

I love Blujay, love the format...my sales have been picking up...all is great

except in the last few weeks my blujay items haven't been showing up on froogle?

should i perhaps create my own feed to submit instead of relying in blujay to do it? i don't seem to be having this issue on ecrater

i forget where i read it , but someone said they thought this issue with blujay and froogle could be because there are so many sex related stuff on blujay

any ideas?

myddf -

I sell on a number of sites. From time to time every one of the them has had Google Feed problems. I would recommend doing your own feeds.

Right now, there does appear to be an issue with BluJay and Google.

Google does permit adult related items in Shopping, so it is not because of "sex related stuff". I have no doubt you have heard that though, because I also have. It has been constantly mentioned by a bitter little group of BluJay "sellers" and former "sellers" who go out of their way to slam BluJay every chance they get. They have a history of this type of thing.

(I am sure one or more of them will be along to prove my point. )

someone on the blujay forum told me that i can't submit my own froogle feed from blujay

do you think blujay will be back on froogle? i'm sure they are getting lots of email regarding this

should i just give it time for them to sort it out? or should I panic now and eat an entire cheesecake!!

Oooo...a whole cheesecake sounds heavenly!!!!! Will you share just a little?

you said your sales have been good. You can look at it this way - you are selling IN SPITE of your items not being in Google. I would not panic - - I think it will be sorted out.

You can't submit an automatic feed from BluJay, but you can submit a data feed to google on your own.

If you know how to create a spreadsheet that would be your best bet. Blujay is a lovely site, but you will rarely find your items visible in Google. I'm certain many sellers submit their own feeds which gives you peace of mind as a seller, that your hard work isn't wasted. I know this seller submits his own feeds and if you run into any trouble I'm sure he would be happy to help you out.

If you don't have excel, Google offers free spreadsheets that you can use to submit your items.

Also I wouldn't worry about the trolls Misty was talking about, they have nothing to do with your items not being submitted to Google, that is a site issue. The Blujay trolls she speaks of stay pretty much on the forums over there. PSU is a nice friendly place, a troll free zone!

Good luck and if you need any additional help just ask. :D

The problem with Blujay & Google could be one of two possibilities.

1. Adam didn't submit a data feed to Google, which he usually does on the 21st of each month.

2. Google is being finicky again. This is the most likely scanario and happens one or twice every year. Eventually Adam will find out which hoops he has to jump through and your items will be searchable once again.

You can set up a database of your own and submit it directly to Google, but be prepared to have Google reject part or all of it, until you get it formatted exactly how they want to see it.

And then save everything and keep it up to date, since you will have to submit it every 30 days.

Google changes all the time and I'm sure Adam probably didn't read the latest memo from them.

Also if you don't have tons of items, or don't want to try and figure out the spreadsheets you can submit them directly to GB one at a time.

What memo was that? Can hardly stand the suspense.

Actually, one of the gang is partially right. This is a problem with GOOGLE. It involves more sites that just BluJay. GOOGLE is working on resolving it.

Let's see...anything else worth commenting on? Oh yes, Please try to refer to my posts accurately. I don't think that's hard. I never mentioned trolls. I mentioned "a bitter little group of BluJay "sellers" and former "sellers" who go out of their way to slam BluJay every chance they get." But You can call them trolls if you want - maybe you are more familiar with them than I am.

I just know that in recent months the BJ forums have been very nice, very nice indeed. Hmmmm...wonder why that is? Maybe if we all put our heads together and think really really really really hard, we'll figure out what's changed. :D :D :D :D :D

myddf- if you have not been following the thread you started on BJ about this, you should check it out. Very helpful information from many people that are familiar with the problem.

That's what the BluJay forums are all about...sellers helping other sellers.

Google is most likely the problem. I used to submit a spread sheet to Google for about a year with no problems. Several months ago it got rejected due to Google changing things. I completely re-did it and it was accepted again for a short time. Now Google is rejecting my spread sheet again and I have no idea as to why and I gave up on it.

Google has samples of what the spread sheet is supposed to look like and the correct format. I even downloaded their sample which had a couple of sample items and changed the wording to match my items and they still rejected it.

Why do people think they have to constantly stir the pot!

Something's going on with Google. I can't find any of my blujay items and my sales have disappeared after being quite good.

Your store is still indexed, and its category pages, but I find no item pages indexed by Google. I wonder why... (I certainly have no idea).

It also looks as if no Blujay items are in Google Shopping other than those of 3 sellers who have separate GoogleBase accounts from Blujay's (different authorids)

Has Blujay moved to the individual store upload format rather than site-wide as many other venues have had to do?

Seems to have been recent changes in what GoogleBase will and will not accept. Perhaps that is the problem, and it will be cleared up by the site owner soon.

I have been a member of Blujay since Jan 5, 2007 and Unfortunately this is an On going issue ALL the time. One time your in google and the next your not. Its back and forth for the past 28 months I have been with them. So who knows what we can do. I just know its an ON going issue ALL THE TIME.

As of right now this time, we have been out of google a while now.

PURPLE: are you saying ONLY 3 People out of the whole site are submitting their own googlebase feeds? OMG thats a small percentage.
