| I for one have never had any success with CL...I had my vinyl records flagged once...gee questionable I guess. Who knew Bing was so Baaaad! I have a car listed and have had no luck...on it's third re-list. I have however had great luck with oodle.com and kijiji.com. |

I think it depends on what you sell and the area in which you live for whether or not CL is going to be as successful for you as it is for others.
I personally love CL for my area. I have sold everything from collectors cars to furniture and household items there.
I too am in a rural area but between 2 larger CL cities. If someone wants something you have I have found them willing to drive a bit to get it. |

Otherwise, Craigslist works very well. It seems as though there are "self appointed", "self annointed", keepers of the good at Craigslist everywhere you go... these types tend to flag items that "THEY" feel are inappropriate, without regard to the actual rules. It's like they sit and scrutinize certain areas, flagging at will. |
