Hey gang. Was just wondering if anyone has any info on this feed? I'm getting a disapproved and no items fed message from it. Never had a problem before, have they changed the rules on the submittal again? Man you could go nuts trying to keep up. I will be away most of the day but will check back later for any responses so my apologies in advance.

I've never fed directly my items from eCrater....I just let eCrater do the feed for my store. Are you suggesting you have a feed you upload directly and that it failed? Just clarifying so folks can best help you!

Yes, which site's feed are we discussing?

Do you have the same items with the same titles and descriptions feeding to GoogleBase from multiple venues? If so, that is a very likely source for your problem.

Thanks for the response. purple_reading_giraffe:
It's the Ecrater site. I use this site mostly for sports cards and collectibles. I did have shirts up also but have since deleted them because I do have them up on another site. 2BOYSandTOYS : I don't do a feed myself, I let EC do that for me. This is the third tab on the admin. home page, not sure if it's a new tab or that I haven't noticed it before.

The per-seller feed from eCrater seems to be new, though I'm not sure exactly how new. It's possible that you just need some tweaking, and the eCrater community likely has news on how to set up for and manage this feature. Google changes its requirements, apparently fairly often and apparently in sometimes obscure ways. There is also a lot of info available on the Google forums. A search on Google for the site:google.com command and some keywords from your notice might help you learn more about this issue and its likely causes if you don't get all you need from eCrater's boards.

Also, I have seen that sometimes Google has a problem that affects a lot of people, and Google clears it up in a day or two. So, it *might* have nothing to do with anything you or eCrater did or did not do. When that happens, I notice several folks asking about it at the same time, and it often affects more than one site.

The reason I mentioned duplicate items is that 'duplicate content' is the most frequent answer I have seen on the Google forums for this question in the past, besides the 'Google has a problem' answer.

Ecrater has been doing the feeds per store for a while now. For some reason the last couple of feeds some of them have succeeded and some failed. I have eight stores and each time I have some succeed and some fail but they aren't the same ones. I have sent an email to administration to find out why and if I need to do something. We have a thread about this on Ecrater.

PRG I think you may be right. Yesterday I tweaked my store name at one site and removed dual entries from the other. I just did a quick search tonight and some of my items are starting to appear again. I believe the status feed tab appeared on May 5th of this year. Anyway thanks for the advice all.

When you make mention of eCrater doing store feeds, are you talking about something different than their use of Google Attributes?

I know that sellers can feed their items directly into Google base, either one at a time, or through the use of a Tab-Delineatied spreadsheet, such as Excel.

Liz - that's true for seller-initiated feeds. However, many venues feed FOR their sellers, with limited to no set-up needing to be done by the seller. There has been a lot of "growth" this past year in sites feeding items to Google Base. Most of the sites we discuss at PSU provide automated feeds to Google Base / Products. Many provide seller-specific feeds. One can also set up an XML feed, which I gather is actually a file ON the site that Google then "fetches" on a schedule one sets, rather than one having to manually upload a TSV file.

If a site requests Google Attributes, I would take that as a very strong hint that the site in question IS doing Google Feeds. ;)

The PROBLEM is admittedly on the google site.
Sites like Bonanzle, BISI, and others are having the same issue - whether they are talking about it or telling anyone I don't know.
BUT Google has admitted they made a change and it's messed things up.

They are working to fix the issue for future feeds.

My google feed has worked fine for 2 days for my AtomicMall.com listings. My hope is that this issue is 'fixed' and next submission by eCrater.com will be good to go!

My last feedback from eCrater.com was on the 10th; so...we shall see either today/tomorrow!

Hope this helps those wondering.

Someone on PSU had a copy of an email (and I can't find the thread) but apparently they did something with a subtax filed and killed the feeds for everyone.

But in the google base forum they are still telling people that their items are "disapproved" because of something they did.

The error message tells everyone that "no items are live". I'm hoping they get it fixed soon.
