I am hoping that everyone will agree with me on this idea and send ecrater an email.
I have suggested 3-4 times that they allow us a note space in the Orders area. Here we can post refunds, cancellations, lost orders, damaged in shipping, and notes for tax purposes. It sure beats trying to keep up with remembering what went on with a transaction.
I personally feel the best to put the notes in right in the orders area.
Does any one else think this would be beneficial for the sellers, are am I in this alone..lol
If you do agree, please just send a simple email to ecrater support.
One persons opinion really does not matter, which is very understanding.
Thanks,
Mary

MarJac OutletsHey MarJac_Outlets (Mary), welcome to PSU! :D
Although I'm not an eCrater member or user, the idea you suggest sounds good on the face of it, particularly if it would serve to facilitate/ease transactions.
You mention that you suggested this idea to eCrater 3-4 times... did eCrater ever respond at all? If not, are you sure that your emails to them are being received? |

Yes they did reply and said they would keep it in mind. I love eCrater and if they decide not to create this area, I will continue to use them until dooms day. It is just a little feature that I think would really help the sellers.
Thanks for the reply.

What if you contacted friends that you know who also use eCrater and ask them to support your idea by contacting eCrater? This may help.
Additionally, if you feel strongly about this, why not follow up with eCrater (since they did respond to you), and continue dialogue with them?
Perhaps you could press them a bit, and ask them what it is they need to consider before adopting your idea?
If I were you, I would take a firm, assertive, and friendly stance, and continue to attempt to convince eCrater that your idea is a good one.
Best of luck! :D |

That is what I have been doing. eCrater is a fee hosting site that does not include all the bells and whistles that Ebay has but then again it's free. Because it is and they have to pay for Band Width ect. they don't have a lot of time or a full staff and do not make a lot of improvements. We were just given gallery view in the stores so it's a slow process as far improvements go. I do understand this. I know only one other seller on eCrater so I guess I need to get out and meet some of the other sellers. This is one reason I did this post. Hopefully some of the other sellers might also be interested in my idea. I know for a fact it would save me alot of time and confusion. lol |

If you're a typical seller, and if your idea saves you a lot of time and confusion, then it's quite possible that the idea would serve other sellers equally well. :)
Pursue it with eCrater! 8)
And then, do it again. :) |

| Hey Mary...it's "oldhottie" remember me? I like the idea also...we have this option on BISI and I do love it. I too will send a little note and see what happens. The owners have been doing so many great things for the site lately...I am shocked by the improvements added over the last month. Hope you are doing well...nice to see you around. :D |

| That's a good idea but you need to put it in the suggestion area and then others who think it's good also can put their 2 cents in. I know that Ecrater admin monitors the suggestion area. If they don't do it though don't feel bad as they are putting a lot of good features in and only have so much time. I appreciate everything they do and can't wait to see what other things they have in mind. |

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I am truly hoping this is something others can agree with.
You seem to be a very nice person. Do you have an online store?
I am seriously considering one of the PSU ecommerce stores but can't find out what they are wanting for the hosting fees or exactly how much control I would have over the site.
I don't see where it free like EC, but I don't really want another free site. I want more CONTROL over some of the features like link exchanges, a way to creat sales or discounts..lol
Being retired and with an ill husband, and being on a fixed income, I can't afford to pay a huge montly bill for hosting etc, or I would just reopen the Ebay store. I am also very insecure about attempting to try to create a website by my self. ):
On a scale of 1-10 about what I know about creating my own webstore, I am about a 2 1/2..lol but then I am very brave. (:
Thanks!! |

Sorry the older I get the more I seem to not remember. How do i know you?
Yes I am around and round ..rofl
We closed the Ebay store and now have stores on eCrater and on BluJay. I am not doing anything on BJ but can't complain with sales on EC.
I compared my Christmas sales on Ebay to the Ec store and although I did not sell as much, I made about $400. more on EC. This made up my mind to close our EB store and just list my best sellers on Ebay.
What is BISI?
I agree 100% with the improvements on eCrater. I was also not aware of any suggetions area. I have just been sending support emails and they never told me not to..lol
Gods blessings,

I do have an online store that I have taken offline for some upgrades. While it was online however, I did enjoy some success with it. Many other folks have also had success with their own site, own store.
The PSU stores are very good. You'll receive both hosting for the store, and the highly configurable store script itself. The price is very reasonable, around 10 bucks per month I believe. With the PSU store/site, you would have total control of the site and store. You will need to have your own domain name however, although that part is both trivial and inexpensive.
I encourage you to contact PSU for additional real information.
*Disclaimer* - I have no association whatsoever with PSU and PSU stores/hosting. I am simply a member of this site, as are you.
Good luck! :D |

Thanks I will contact them. I was trying to find out as much as I could before I emailed them. I guess when I have all my questions in one basket, I will sent these to them.
Have a very blessed week.
