Between a system were only the wealthy have a chance of quality of life opposed to a system where everyone gets a chance I choose the latter ^_^

I am sickened by attitudes like this.

America used to be about proving yourself and excelling to the best of your abilities. Now it’s about getting on the dole and shrugging off responsibility and complaining that someone else has more.

Those great European socialist wonderlands you speak of offer an equal chance at being stifled by government regulation, taxes and living a mundane life. The desire or need to succeed and excel is trampled by government programs that keep people down.

I am not wealthy or even upper middle class. My family never had money. The one thing I did learn was that hard work and smart work pay off. Myself and others who understand hard work pays prefer to depend on ourselves and our families not the government.

Want more? Earn it. Want better health care. Get a @#$% job and save your money. I’m tired of hearing about folks with car payments, mortgages and cell phones b!tching they don’t have health insurance. It’s not my fault they don’t know how to manage money.

Government does not do it better. Why is this so hard for people to accept?

When I was a kid my mom told me that I would appreciate things that I worked for more than things given to me. That has rung true my whole life. For some reason people have some sense of Entitlement that is beyond my understanding. Many young healthy adults want things given to them...they don't want to work hard for their keep. Personally I think all the video games have fried their brains.

As to government doing it better??? Well they couldn't budget themselves out of a wet paper bag without spending even more money that they don't have.

Another cliche' that will ring true if people don't stand up. "You don't miss it until it's gone". Freedom is and has been taken for granted...many people lost their lives for us to have freedom. Knuckleheads that want a free ride will soon find the have no freedom.

The fundamental truth of it all is people as a whole will use more of free goods services, to the amount of abuse, than any population that has to work for it.

Right now if you get a rash you might look up what might have caused it and add some benadryl. The drones on free health care just go to doctor $50-100 and get a $75 prescription.

Housing subsidies like section 8 mean millions of people just live below the limit for that housing and never try to earn more money and stay on the dole forever.

This is how we got where we are. Full of pity and compassion but blind to lazy and ignorant. Pretty sad.

I'm certainly NOT sickened by it. I believe its on the way and everyone needs to get used to the idea or leave the country. We have entirely too much distance between the "haves" and "have nots". The middle class are swiftly disappearing from America - losing everything they own to healthcare costs - the number one cause of bankruptcy and ruination of a family. These people pay taxes and feel they have a government that is quick to take from them yet tells they to go to h3ll if they are in need. Its coming - sooner or later. We're FAR behind in keeping our population of taxpayers healthy! We ought to be ashamed is what we ought to be. This is what I see - like it or not!

Baloney - as a retired person on Medicare I can tell you that is NOT true. I don't even have to pay to see my doctor yet I have to be called and told to come in for a checkup. This is the kind of ultra-conservatism that needs to be overcome.

Most of the people without health insurance ARE working - yet they are outside the box. Their tax money is still going to help others in other countries and to help the welfare people here. Many of these people are working, paying their taxes and are without healthcare! My son worked for two years without healthcare benefits yet his tax money went for healthcare for others!

1 - if you are making so little that you cannot afford health insurance then you aren't paying federal income taxes. if you are having to pay taxes but cannot afford health insurance then you need to take a hard look at where your money is going.

2 - it's is a proven scientific fact anything that anything that is free or subsidized ends up being abused and over used.

3 - just because you do not take advantage of your subsidized health care, your quite welcome by the way, that does not mean the drones aren't abusing it and every government program out there. you are the exception, not the rule. thank you for being responsible, now how can we straight the other 50 million drones and their children?

I agree 100% with cohibastore. Years ago I worked for a medical laboratory in California. A very large percentage of the people on Medical (welfare) seemed to use the doctors office for a social club. Since they did not have to pay anything (not even a $2 copay), if they even got a little sniffle they would run there.

And about 50% of the time they would not have their "sticker" that was needed for reimbursement, so we would not get paid, even after 2 or 3 billings. They cost us incredible amounts of money.

Even when I've been very poor I always managed to carry health insurance. Never felt like I had to have a new car and things like that, though. It is so much about how you prioritize your expenses.

If the national sales tax for internet sales avoids the state plans to get congress to allow them to charge sales tax, I'm for it.

I understand there are thousands of different entities that would make it a nightmare for us smaller dealers to comply.

Also, as I understand it, sellers that sell less than 250K a year would be exempt.... any of you above that figure? LOL

Nope and I never will be. I'll split the business and sell it to some one first.

There is some people on here with sense and others who have none

The more taxes allow the government to steal more of people's money away. Why is it there right to take away something that does not belong to them??

Taxes hurt business, Taxes hurt people. Taxes makes spending slow down

Don't be fooled by the garbage that there is $$$ gaps. think of it as mmm people who are stupid and do not know how to take care (manage) there own money

Taxes raise prices and will lower profits and you will have less sales creating a cycle of ruin

If you think for a second they have a right to do this. move to the EU and be happy to pay those crazy fees since the Europeans and the Canadians want to escape the high taxes

can we say
