Never had a hold on PP yet, but I also "think" at this time, I would not ship without release of PP funds. For a while last year, I had a statement on my Bay notes that item is "subject to mail hold for 21 days due to PP payment hold" with further explanation. Never had a hold yet (even tho unfortunately not buyer friendly) and have removed this for now as never had a hold to date. Sales remained the same even with the note (likely they did not read the hold note). Buyers can, of course, place FB in advance of receipt to release funds and later file claim so not truly too much risk for a buyer for those that know this.
Really thought most PP, if not all PP holds, were not applicable on other than the Bay sites although can comprehend how they could be under likely PP vague, everchanging terms.
Am expanding as applicable to time.... payment types on alt sites to again diversify to avoid being without a payment source should I decide to end PP.
Still do business on the Bay (less now, hope less to none future) and with PP but expanding at best to avoid having either of them as sole dependency. |
