| Ever since I installed IE 8 couple of weeks ago it loads my website http://www.brianmeek.com and http://www.knives-novelties.com in compatibility mode. I have been trying to figure out why and what I need to change to fix this. Can anyone tell me why IE 8 doesn’t like both of my websites? |

| That does fix the problem however most other websites I visit does not have compatibility issues and when I right click and "view source" of the other websites I do not find any compatible meta tags in them. So I'm back to wandering what is it that IE 8 don't like with my websites. |

That said, it's likely that the way your site is constructed is not standards compliant. |

It is according to W3C Markup Validation Service...

Now here's an odd situation... I just ran the markup at your site and the css through the The W3C Validation Service.
Both the html and the css validates perfectly.
Kind of looks like the issue is with IE8. :? |

I did notice that the css validator does show 6 warnings on one of your bits of css here:

| Casper...there were some discussions on BISI about IE 8 not working for customers trying to check out through PP. When the lady switched back to IE 7 all was fine...it looks like some fine tuning is needed. |

I fixed 4 of the warnings but the other 2 I don't have a clue on what to do with them. |

| I completely removed the code for the other 2 warnings and that did not help the compatibility issues. There is something else that IE 8 does not like which W3C is not detecting. |
