| I have stuff here that's piling up to my eyeballs, so I thought I'd revisit Ecrater. Just cookbooks right now, getting ready, though, to list a few children's books and home decorative items. The store's called Back in the Day Antiques & Collectibles if anyone cares to take a look. Shipping's already built into the item price, get a 25% refund on all mulitple purchases. |

| And just real quick and my apologies if this is not the proper place to ask, but is there a way to do a coupon or an automatic discount in Ecrater? |

It's probably best to ask on the Ecrater boards where their sellers
who are most familiar with the site can help you. |

| I would, but last time I was with Ecrater and asked a question in the forum, I basically was sarcastically told that I was stupid. :) |

vintagemarketplaceonline eCrater is very simple by design and function...I don't think there is a way to set up for coupons. Since you are just opening your store, you might mention in your ads that you offer a discount for multiple items and to contact you for combined discounts.
Good Luck and Welcome to eCrater :D |

vintage, there is no way to do coupons in eCrater. You can combine shipping but even I haven't figured that one out and I've been there 3 years.
Welcome aboard and I do understand what you are saying about the forums. I check in once in awhile but do not ask questions or give my opinion. I stay in my own little corner and work.
It has paid off because this year is going fantastic. The first year was very slow, the second was better and now it is great. Some of the people on the forums might be snippy but on a whole it is a great place to be, IMHO
Perserverance is all it takes! Oh and hard work. |

Really
At eCrater?
Now I know of one person who does answer questions rather harshly but I
thought the rest were cool, guess not. |

Maybe I just caught the person on a bad day, it just hit me wrong.
Well, my first night and I got a surprising number of item hits, so that's good! |

Re the coupon thing--I'll just stick with the refund on multiple purchases for a while I reckon and see how that goes! Thanks all, off to do a yard sale now! Wheeeee!
I hope I don't end up buying more than I sell, but that's what usually happens...

| Well, that love affair lasted a long time, not! I guess I have a thin skin or something, but I have just no value for forum moderators who seem to go out of their way to talk down to users. I just moved all my stuff out of that store and to my Vintage Marketplace Online store, I'm just gonna keep on gettin' up and listing there. |

I've never belonged to eCrater, but I have spent some time reading their message boards.
I do know that they want you to do a forum search before asking a question, since they don't like answering the same questions over and over.
But you joined and quit in roughly 3 days? |

My ecrater store was dormant for many months. Just last week I started refilling it, and had an actual sale withing 3 days! It's all paid for, packed up and shipped out.
In the hope that maybe the time is right now for ecrater, which is direct shopping with no middleman, I will be putting lots of things up that have great searchable keywords for all the engines.
I always thought the ecrater concept was great, and am thrilled to see a quick result.
BTW, I had a 2 day interval between the sale and the buyer paying. And the process was different than the sales I made last year, so I needed info. The boards there are well laid out, and in about 5 minutes I was able to access all the info I needed without posting anything! |

I too have had very good luck with eCrater. I love the fact that items are submitted twice a week, and you are able to see the success of the feed right in your dashboard. Keep listing and you will sell!
I rarely visit the forums myself...I too have seen less than pleasant remarks by those in charge of the forum. But I'm sure the mods do get tired of answering the same ole questions over and over again! On the other hand, there is so much there to sift through sometimes it's quite hard to find what you are looking for.
You can always visit PSU and someone is always willing to lend a hand. |
