Always something new going on - contests, games, mystery auctions, freebies, benefit auctions to support those in need, and more. Please stop by and say hi in the friendly chat rooms! :D |

Real friendly chat rooms - not only do they tell someone off but then criticize them for posting their other site on their signature. I thought Fain wanted people to list on other sites. At least the poster's signature does not take up six inches with plugs for everything that will get them money for clicking. One person has 12 such buttons on their signature so you end up scrolling and scrolling to get to the next post.

BTW - wonder what enticed CardmanLou to return, maybe it is the Premiere Membership that was promised to Bev but never delivered. |

Hi.
Yup, very friendly if you are one of the 'club members', for lack of a better phrase (what should I refer to you all as?). And to my understanding, even between a few of you (not you personally) there was apparently a battle going on about some silly clique-ish mob-argument-blacklist thingy currently recorded on a blog between the 'friendly' folk, and it looks like someone got their feelings hurt. So your statement is not entirely truthful.
And anyone who dares to speak up about questionable business practices gets booted. So that statement is not entirely truthful, either.
Congrats on your 600 FB. Well done. :D
Also, well done on your benefit auctions to help the family in need. That was very nice of your group to do that. I'm sure it was much appreciated. And kudos to the lady nursing that kitten back to health. I have a special fondness for animals. Which reminds me, your horses are beautiful and it appears you take very good care of them. I am an animal lover, just like you.
See? I'm not 'negative' and hateful like you think. I just think Fain sucks and he is ripping you all blind and you simply refuse to open your eyes to facts. And I say it like I see it. And I see proof.
While you're here, please do tell me, who won the OLA photo contest from mid June? Did the winner get their 100.00? I can't seem to find it in the News.
Also, what about Fain's photo contest here at PSU from back in April? The prize consisting of 196 dollar bills? My PM was read by the person who posted the contest information, but I received no response.
How come no one has addressed the one member's direct question about the alleged fake coins? That is a serious offense. What kind of auction site wouldn't look into something like that? Why was the subject changed when the question was asked? Why did the OLA rep look the other way? As much of a headache as ebay is, at least they would look into this.
Pretty straightforward questions. Can you answer them, please?
That would be great. Thanks. |

Those are questions for OnlineAuction.com administrators, not OnlineAuction.com members, so your questions and comments are for the purpose of baiting, which are against the rules here at PSU. |

I don't think she's baiting. We all know that the big boys at OnlineAuction.com read these posts. After all they fix the site every time someone here tells them what's wrong with it. And they especially read Pintobeans posts. After all she tells them how to fix the problems. |

I like shopping OLA. I am the proud owner of several wind up sushi that drive my cats batty. And a good five pounds of post-fudge pudge.
That's my downfall. People who will send dessert to my door. |

How odd. Curio, did you change your name? Did you hire a spokesperson? Or is this the one who takes it upon themselves to speak for others as if the original speaker cannot do so?
From what I can tell, upon rereading my original post, my questions are valid and have been asked by others besides myself. With the exception of one of those questions, they have even been asked by other OLAers on their very own site, and remain unanswered. Also, curio, your spokesperson has cried foul before because she was unable to answer them; hence the reason she blames others for baiting (and strangely, something she does better than everyone else). And, well I'll be. I believe I even see a couple of compliments in my original post. Of course, your spokesperson had overlooked those.
Curio, I do hope you come back and take the time to converse with me further. I happen to enjoy your posts. Thanks. |

Certainly asking questions about contest results is not baiting especially when one cannot get through to the "head brass" at OnlineAuction.com to get answers because they are "protected". If Pinto hadn't originally posted her very creative photo, Fain would not have created a contest to save face. Sadly, like all his other promises, nothing has come of the contest.
As for friendly chats, I can attest to the fact they they are far from friendly. I was banned for NO reason other than one of the "chosen" decided to go at me. Thankfully the banning woke me up to leave a site that is going nowhere.
Fatseal, I love fudge too! Would love to be able to buy it, but I am banned for life from the site. Another wonderful gesture by the O L A people who are looking out for their sellers trying to improve the site. Ban buyers! Great move.
I've even thought about trying Metzymom's soap, but I'm not allowed to shop on O L A -- my money no longer has value there. Funny, it works just fine on eBay. |

Hey Curio! You can count me as another satisfied founding member. I don't usually bother posting here at psu (it's not worth it, with all of the in-your-face Ola bashers) but since you were brave enough, I thought I would support you by saying that I am very happy at Ola. I have made 6 sales (total $323.00) to 3 new buyers and one repeat customer in the last couple weeks. Since summer is historically a very slow time of year for my type of item, I don't do any kind of promoting, so I thought that was pretty good. I just got an email this morning from one of the buyers, letting me know that her package had arrived and thanking me for the great service and all of my help in learning her way around Ola. Not only will she be back as a customer, I think she likes the site enough to try selling there too.
I do wish that they would announce the winner of the photo contest. I'm sure they were disappointed in the poor response to the contest, but I think there was a misunderstanding about what they were looking for. I know that I thought that they were looking for actual photos of unique places that we had displayed the Ola logo. I have the bumper sticker on our van and put stickers on all of my packages, but, since those are certainly not unique or interesting, I didn't bother to enter anything. It seemed like others thought the same thing.
As for the Chris in front of the taco truck thing-I check the news on Ola quite frequently, and I never saw anything on the Ola site about that "contest". The only place I ever saw it referenced was here at psu, and that was by a brand new poster (still has only the one post)who claimed he was an employee at Ola. Anyone foolish enough to believe that Chris Fain or anyone at Ola would actually authorize such a "contest".....well, lets just say I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. |

| The contest rules and expectations were made quite clear. Surely Mr. Fain or one of his underlings has seen all of the postings regarding the contest. I find it hard to believe that Fain is not behind the contest. He probably saw the funny photo posted by Pinto and decided to save face by turning it into a promotion piece for his "company". Surely he could have put the kaboosh on it rather than let it drag on which just makes him look more foolish than he already does with his endless list of unfulfilled promises. It is not at all surprising that the contest is not mentioned in O L A news. When do things at OnlineAuction.com run smoothly and cohesively? Seems like one hand never knows what the other hand is doing there, ever. |

| Hi! No, my name has, and always will be Curiocache. My real name is Missy. I'm sorry I can't answer all the OLA questions as I only know what I know from buying and selling there. I don't have a direct line to "the management" unless they post on the chat boards. Hi there Fatseal! I'm with you on the fudge pudge..Raggy lady keeps us all well fed! |

| I am so jealous reading about the fudge that I am not allowed to buy on O L A. I love fudge. Does anyone know if the fudge lady sells on another site where my money is welcome? |

Oh Come On Now!!! Do you really believe that someone from OLA saw PINTOBEAN'S (edited from the members previous OLA ID per her request) nasty little photoshop work and decided that it would be a great promotional tool? Do you really believe that an entire contest would be offered to the few people here who have been banned or have left from the OLA site and have spent months and months bad mouthing the site? Do you really believe that OLA THE COMPANY has any power here to put a 'kaboosh' on anything you folks dream up? PSU, and only PSU, holds the power to put a 'kaboosh' on anything here... and it's starting to look like perhaps you and your merry little band work for or with PSU because I can't think of any reason otherwise why they would let you guys continue to behave the way you do in this forum. Making stuff up, telling half-truths, telling out and out lies with no proof necessary, for months and months, all in the name of free speech... geeze...
I think you or one of your buddies put that post up (under a new ID of course) in another attempt to slander OnlineAuction.com... I could be wrong, but that's how it looks to those who aren't in your little group of merry pranksters.
Seriously? You believe that OLA sponsored a photo contest for you guys over here?
(Edited from the OLA ID used by this ex-OLA member to her PSU ID per her request...
Edited a second time to correct a typo in the correction) |

Once again, you are addressing me Metzy when we agreed to not speak to each other. Once again you are accusing me of something I DID NOT DO. I have never had an alternate name on any site I have ever been on. I am not computer literate enough (an happy to say that) to be able to do that! I don't sit around and try to find ways to sabotage OnlineAuction.com. I could care less about it. What I do care about are all the untruths and garbage that spews from the site, its owner and representatives. I do not work for PSU or any other site, unlike others. I work for myself. And yes, I believe that the photo contest was staged by Fain for anyone who cared to enter, not just PSU members. Word gets around and he of all people knows that. I also am not talented enough to put together a staged photo, nor would I care to do so. So, why would I care what happens with the contest other than it is another game played by O L A!
Funny, how you didn't bother to address the fact that I am banned from shopping on your site even though I would like to shop there. You only harp on what you perceive to be "negative". I did say some positive things too! Metsy, please stay out of my life and posts and I will stay out of yours. It was much better that way. |
