If your website sends a feed to Google Base, you need to be aware that as of today, the “condition” attribute will be required for all listings. Acceptable values are new, used, or refurbished.

| I have been trying to get an answer or suggestion to this subject for a while now. I have a web-site that is hosted through PSU and I am able to send to Google Feed successfully. I mention in my description for each item the condition as outlined above. However I am unsure as to weather I need to do something different like add a field to descriptions that state the condition. If anyone should know this I would be appreciative of your knowledge. Thanks, Jeff |

Mentioning the condition of the item in your description is not what Google is looking for.
They want you to make use of the Google Attributes, one of which is Condition. If you are not using Google Attributes, you might try putting the condition in your item titles.
But I find it interesting that the only choices they give is New, Used or Refurbished. I sell primarily used items, but there are several different grades ranging from Near Mint down to Poor. I can see sellers simply listing the items as Used from now on. |

I also have a PSU site. I assumed it would no longer work.
What I did is export the file as I have in the past, but before sending it to Google I do a quick edit.
Open up the file as a spreadsheet and type in condition in the next available column. Type used in the cell beneath, then copy it to the rest of the rows.
I did this a couple of weeks ago, and the upload to Google from my website worked fine. |

| We put the weight and condition on our site a while back. So far our items are still listed. At this time everything shows up fine. I was hoping someone else inserted the mods and could tell me if they are having the same luck. |

| It's not only condition and weight, but if you sell books you also have to have the date and the ISBN number for any dated after 1970. This has been a pain. And you have to take payment other than Paypal. |
