I have been told that it will take about 2 weeks to correct them all. And then our site will run smother and must faster.

Just 7 more days!

LOL.... would this be like the
countdown to Google product
feeds from OLA?

Or the countdown to a working
"search" on OLA?

Or any of the litany of never-to-be
fulfilled promises made by OLA over
the years?

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting
for OLA to follow through with pretty
much anything they say.

It's kind of sad, really. If those poor souls only knew how a selling site can and should operate, they would be kicking themselves for staying there for so long. The "sellers log" has been "down for upgrades" for two years that I personally know of. They still have to manually send invoices to get paid. There are just so many backward practices and work arounds that the sellers have to deal with, functions that may or may not work at any given time, such as scheduled listings, its really pathetic. OLA should be paying the sellers $8.00 a month for putting up with it.

Love that concept: they can pay me $198.00.

I think I read a thread like this about two years ago. Is this the same thread or a new one. Can't tell.

I noticed you didn't report that the issue was fixed (in less time than promised). I also noticed you didn't report that the site is, indeed, running smoother and faster. Let me point it out... Oh Wait! I just did... lol...

Nice signature InnerPuppie. The info isn't true (recurring theme), but I have to admit that you are certainly creative.

Uhm, METZY, how in the world would you know that the info isn't true unless you were the one who squealed! I know what I wrote and when I wrote it and how in a matter of minutes the yellow card appeared. I know who I wrote about, too.

You tryin' to pick a fight?

It seems that OLA is not running smoother or faster - it has been more than 2 weeks and there are still major glitches. They are now working on the problem of sellers not being notified of sales and the site was down for hours on Monday but nothing was posted under announcements.

I will say they finally got rid of the bug problem though.

Hi Mesty, I assume you are addressing me. I try not to report anything that is untrue, or jump to any conclusions. As of today: D&D wrote: › docWrite("quote")"We sold 3 items today and never got the email notification that something had sold.
Is this a new glitch? Never had this problem before.

Apparently, the problems are not completely fixed.

BTW, how do you determine if a site is "running smoother and faster"?

Like most OLA promises / announcements
of upgrades and site 'improvements', when
they never happen all you need do is sit back
and give them a little time and they'll promise
it again a few months later.

It's METZY and you know that. Please be respectful enough to use my correct name and spell it correctly.

Every site, including OnlineAuction.com, is a work in progress. Every site, including OnlineAuction.com, has issues on a regular basis (even though most would never admit it). Every site, including OnlineAuction.com, works daily to upgrade services offered and fix issues that can occur with any online business.

edited to be nice

Metzy, OLA has been around for over 10 years so "building the site together" is really a puzzling statement. And, why, if you pay someone for a service, do you have to help them build it? Your payment to them is for services that they promise to give to you, not services that they will produce if you help them build the site.

I'm hearing the very same answers about OLA's issues as I heard over two years ago. Things just aren't getting better over there for people who really want to sell and who need a good market for their products. People who need to move inventory need a smooth, well integrated site that is easy to navigate, is quick and up-to-date. A lot of folks in todays' economy, especially, can't wait for added revenue. They need it last week! Times are tough, really tough, for people who need their auction and sales income to live and to keep bread on the table.

Perhaps you should spend some time on your own business instead of spending hours combing through a site looking for issues that clearly have nothing to do with you. I would think that you're doing so much business elsewhere that you'd have no time for this... at least that's what you'd have everyone believe... so apparently whatever site you are now at, it's not providing you with enough sales to keep you busy there either. Maybe it isn't the sites you're selling at or have sold at that are the problem for you. JMHO

Wow! I thought you were addressing me for a response. I wasn't aware that you were calling me out for a personal attack.

... (Jeez, make one comment in the past two weeks, and people think you got nuthin better to do)
