| I'm closing my ECrater store. I've been listing there for over a year and have had no sales. I have had a few sales on Bonanzle and of course Ebay. Very few on iOffer. |

Don't feel bad about EC.
I've not had any sales online on most of the smaller alternavites except Plunderhere, bluejay, Alsoshop and my own online store (elgatosden) lately.
Perhaps once summer ends, kids go back to school and mom's start shopping online again we as online sellers will have a bit better sales.
Now might be the time to build inventory on the alterantives and prepare to market heavily BEFORE the online holiday shopping season starts. :D |

My sales have been good on eCrater but have been slow for the last couple of weeks. Maybe it's because of school starting and everyone's busy. I'm using this time to restock my store. I'm sure it will pick up closer to Christmas.
If you're not selling at all, it may be because (1) You have no feedback, (2) You don't have a good product, (3) Your prices are too high, or (4) You are not presenting your product well. Lower your prices as much as possible, if only temporarily, to make some sales. Tell your buyers that they will receive an Email that will enable them to rate this transaction and to please leave feedback. Buyers, especially in a newer marketplace like eCrater, feel safer buying from someone who can show that they have had happy customers and are not a scam artist. Describe your items well and take good photos. Look at some successful stores and take notes. Lastly, if your product isn't selling, your item may just not be in demand. In that case, try a yard sale or flea market. |

| act1805, if I may ask how many items do you currently have listed. I can tell you from experience that the more items the better. More listings = more hits and more likely that will lead to sales. (JMHO) Anyway think hard before giving up maybe you need to do more listing. |

| I don't have time to do much with my eCrater store (WAY too many irons in the fire), but I did make a decent sale there on 8/25. |

My sales are increasing on ecrater.I already had 24 sales within 1 month I actually started putting items on ecrater.
I had a bonanzle store also but google base dropped my listing saying that I have listings similar to my ecrater store.

Yes! eCrater's presence is getting out among the online buyers. Many, I hope, have figured out that on eCrater we can sell our goods for a lower price than we could list on eBay, since we don't have to contend with the outrageous selling fees. :!:
Best wishes to all of you for good sales and great customer service to our eCrater buyers!

| I love Ecrater and it is the only place I have had sales. I don't even bother anymore with other venues. Especially ones that charge a fee (any fee). Everything I make is mine except for PayPal and Google Checkout fees. I wouldn't pay them if I didn't have to. |

That could be due to Google no longer showing duplicated listings from more than one site by any one seller.
If you changed your BZ ID, then Google would show your listings once again. |

NOT if you have the same info in your google checkout account (if you use one) and or the same PayPal email address for payment. Google is looking at everything to make sure the same seller don't get listed more then once. |

| Too bad that you are giving up on ecrater. I have had great success there. It is important to have plenty of items listed--thousands if possible, good presentations and remember that YOU have to market your store. I'm glad to be away from ebay and on to ecrater, but it took work. I've seen too many sellers having shabby listings (not saying this is you) and hardly any items up for sale discouraged because nobody is buying from them. And then aren't interested in the advice that was asked for and given, there is an excuse for why they can't do any of the things that are mentioned. Buyers want to get a good deal for their money and a well presented listing is going to get purchased before one with fuzzy pictures and poor spelling and grammar. |

| With only about 70 items listed since newer site, have had 2 good sales in about 10 days on the Crater; one paid PP and other paid Google. Getting good hits on Crater and not even advertising yet. Hopefully Xmas season will really show Crater taking off at its best! Personally very pleased with Crater and easy to list, fast load site! |

My sales on eCrater have been good all year. My goal was to get up to 2500 listings in my store but it seems like by the time I get 10 items listed, I have to go delete 12. I'm getting closer though and hope to be there before the busy buying season.
I'm not complaining, just stating a fact. My first year was slow, my second year was much better and now in my third year I did better in the first six months than all of last year.
I also tell people at auctions about eCrater especially when they ask if I sell on ebay. That starts a whole different conversation. I've even had a couple of people tell me they even opened a store on eCrater! 8)
Sorry you are leaving because this site has been so good and it is getting better all the time. Luck to you, wherever you go. |
