I have set up a local auction site. I know there are TONS on the internet Im just hoping to make some money like anyone else and after EBAY screwing me face down I decided to try my hand at setting up a local auction site. Im not looking to get rich over night or anything, I will stay the course But I am new to this.
With that being said, I DL'd the BidWare script and Installed it. it works ok for the most part but with some issues.
Outbid and Bid emails dont work
and when the auction ends its sends sellers email telling them the Item didnt sell even when it has and site doesnt reflect a Won auction.
Also when you ad money with paypal it doesnt reflect the money added although it does if I use the Test Payment feature.
Hoping someone else has has the issues and knows the fix. I want to use ProBid in the future, however I want to make sure this idea is going to work before shelling out anymore money then I have to.
Thanks for reading.

| Where did you get the template for your auction site? I'm having trouble just changing the color scheme for my BidWare auction site. There isn't much support for it. Can you help? |

ya .. I had all kinds of trouble with that bidware software.. NO SUPPORT couldnt get them to even email me back so we decided to go ahead and buy PHPProBid. Works Great and they have excellent support. the site we have up now is PHP Pro Bid ..
I suggest you check into them. We also checked out AJAuctionPro. It looked nice as well, But the PHPProbid does more of what we needed. |

| yes.. I have read that bidware was ripped from PHP Pro bids old platform../. not sure if true but I do know Bidware didnt work right. it didnt send out 1/2 the mails, It didnt show that the item sold when it did, it didnt send out outbid emails and NO SUPPORT!! not even an email back. PHP Pro Bid so far for us has had NO problems! it all works great and support is really good. |

| Wow, I'm really surprised that GoDaddy is offering this on their website for free if it's a rip off. I can't afford $160+ for PHPProbid's auction script. I was only gonna use it to do some charity auctions. Oh well. If I can't get it to work I guess that idea is out the window. Thanks for the heads up! |
