|

Mercent expanded its support for Amazon.com with complete integration to the Checkout by Amazon payments program. Mercent CEO Eric Best said he is hearing from his merchants that Amazon Payments is outperforming Google Checkout on volume, second only to PayPal and traditional credit cards in popularity. He said the service has also served to lift conversions and average order volume.
Mercent has fully integrated its Mercent Retail shopping feed management platform with the Checkout by Amazon program, giving retail clients the ability to reach, target and sell merchandise directly to Amazon's 95 million active buyers, and process online purchases through the convenient and familiar Amazon checkout experience. Additionally, the Mercent Retail-to-CBA system integration allows merchants to offer consumers single-click ordering capabilities and Amazon's popular "A-to-Z" purchase guarantee.

I thought maybe it was just me. Since adding the Amazon Payments option almost 2 months ago to my AM Stores, Amazon Payments has more than doubled those payments made by Google Checkout. Sales have also increased since I added the Amazon Payments option.
If this is truly is the trend, sellers who do not offer Amazon Payments to their customers, could be missing out on sales. Plus, you get the added benefit of not giving eBay/Paypal a cut of your off-eBay sales. |

No, you give it to Amazon instead.
Same difference. |

Not exacty the same....sooner or later, you are going to end up giving it to someone anyway.....if you think that you can get something free forever you are just kidding yourself...and when you do get it for free, you are usually getting what you pay for...better to spread it around to different places and foster competition rather than to give it all to the same company so they could become a monopoly....
To refuse online payments is suicidal if you intend to have any sort of income through the internet...I am up to almost 500 sales on AM.....490 out of 492 paid me with Paypal, CGO or Amazon and just 2 mailed in payments...yes, I paid fees to these companies but realistically, how many sales and how much money do you think I would have lost by NOT having an electronic payment method? My guess is at least 480 sales and over 11,500 dollars....
The old adage still rings true....you have to pay money to make money.... |

"How Many Claims Should Marketplace Buyers Be Allowed?"
Some sellers are abuzz about a change in Amazon's policy about customer claims under its A-to-Z Guarantee. The policy now allows customers up to 50 claims for purchases from third-party sellers on Amazon. According to the policy:
"Buyers are limited to a lifetime maximum of fifty claims for purchases from Amazon Marketplace or Merchant seller on the Amazon.com website. Withdrawn claims do not count towards this maximum. Buyers who pay for Amazon Marketplace or Merchant purchases via the Amazon.com website and buyers who use Amazon Payments for qualified purchases from a third-party website are eligible to receive up to $2,500 of the purchase price, including shipping charges."
