Usually, Craigslist has been good for me. I sell tangible products and services.
Lately, (the past month or so), most responses to my ads are either SPAM or scams. :o |

| Haven't had a craigs sale since yesterday. Sold a 300 dollar lawn mower engine. Buyer picked it up and paid cash in the usual small unmarked bills. LOL. |

sciencefare I'm not sure I want to know what "services" you sell!
I've sure been hearing a lot lately about services sold on CL, I hope you aren't one of those people making the headlines!
Awww just kidding look at that sweet little face. |

Hi, since I basically cut off eBay, I have been holding flea markets at my home, at a big Pittsburgh flea market and some record shows. I list the sale on Craiglist and I get a good chuck of people from it. More than I do from paying eBay to lose money.
Have sold lps, cds, electronics, furniture and books in both Calif and Pittsburgh, where I live now. RatherRuss

I'm meeting a guy at the outdoor mall in Sachse to sell a tennis racket. I sold a toy hobby horse and a book to a lady over the weekend. Not a huge sale, but I bought cereal for the kids with the money! With no FVF's!
I do get a lot of weird emails...but I've made more sales on craigslist in a month than I have on ebay & other sites in the same time period. $45.00 for 4 items isn't bad. I'm not sure I could get that in a yard sale. I plan on listing my kids outgrown school uniforms closer to fall. I think it would be a great place to sell kids clothes. |

Selling a hot water heater today.
Had not really given it much thought until I looked in the CL wanted section and there it was someone that needed one of that size for their milk house ASAP.
I paid very little for it so with no fees etc he gets what he needs at a great price, I make some money and maybe most important LOL gain some room back in my garage!
I am amazed sometimes what I find when looking in the wanted section that I have and someone else needs/wants. Didn't even have to take the time to list it - just e mail them and soon it is gone.
I love those kinds of sales LOL |

I have only made 1 100 dollar sale this morning from ad on craigslist. Oh well it's only 11:45 am.
A garage sale advertised on craigs creates the possibility of a home run. You don't have to have a great location. Just provide a map to your sale. You can email map to customers. That's what I do.
I get a lot of website hits from craigslist too. |

I sold a used purse with Betty Page on it to a young girl who squealed with delight, and have an person coming Sunday to pick up a wine rack my mom told me to "get rid of".
And if the girl who wanted my husband's ex wife's jeans shows up, I'll have 3 sales this weekend. |

Do you ever have safety concerns about strangers coming to your house to buy CL items? How do you handle this.

Meet them at Starbucks around the corner from my house. sure it looks a little weird to be popping the trunk and pulling out merch while people hand you money, but I'm sure there are stranger deals in the parking lot! |
