Bay - 7%

This is the stat that struck me as more problematic. I didn't want to say anything because a) I thought you might be using store format exclusively and b) I haven't listed on the site in a long time.

But you say above that you have fixed price or at least BIN added listings in core. My old numbers, and numbers I've seen from other sellers, had a far higher traffic from the eBay site. Over ten times that percentage normally, with very low percentages from the search engines. But no one else has commented so is that the norm now? Low traffic from the site itself and almost all from search engines?

As for google v yahoo, yahoo has been serving display ads on ebay and Google is pushing to take it. Who knows what kind of games these search engines are playing behind the scenes. For example you can now "show fewer shopping sites" in the Google search results page. http://news.techwhack.com/11006-google-no-shop For another example, how well does eBay comply with the new Google Products data feed requirements? My point is that the zero Google traffic may be nothing about you and nothing you can do about. It could also change if and when eBay and Google come to a new deal on display ads.

Thanks again, wph!

You are so correct about Google being nothing about me. I did nothing about 7% Bay since my former post(s) and yet today sales mgr is again showing Google traffic and Bay back up to largest % of traffic (which is unfortunately still low). Bay 1st, Google 2nd, Yahoo often 3rd, then others thereafter has been the norm as far as I know for the Bay, at least for me years past.

Also, since last posted, did a little more Bay research about the new performance "above standard" (just under top rated). It indicates that this performance has no impact on seller search with best match in which does not settle with me too well by any means. Sellers are getting another beating (maybe even bigger than past) unless they rank Top Rated Seller.

Sure appreciate your expertise input!
