Hey!
I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

My google base keeps sending me emails stating:

No items inserted
Uploaded at: September 13, 2009 3:00:00 AM PDT
Processed at: September 13, 2009 3:21:58 AM PDT

I have tried everything I know to do. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some step by step procedure to remedy this?

thanks so much

Do your items state what the condition is?

Google has started requiring it...New, Used or Refurbished.

Do you have your own website?

Google is no longer allowing sellers who belong to a marketplace (Blujay, Atomic Mall, eCrater) to do their own data feeds.

How are you going about setting up the feeds?

Are you using a spreadsheet or the RSS feeds?

We need more information before we can even begin to help.

Thanks, I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability.

I list the condition on atomic mall's website, but I am unsure if google accepts that or not.

I do not have my own website and my items were showing up in searches in connection to my atomic mall store.

I set up the feed by following Atomic Mall's instructions.

I know I'm not using a spreadsheet, I'm not sure what RSS feeds are.

There's more info on the Google Base switchover here BG:

http://atomicmall.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=2126

We are in the process of converting users' individual feeds over to the central hub account now, so your items should be showing up again soon.

Thanks,
Mike

If you are on AM, pretty soon you can blame teh owner if your items dont show up but do a test on first on your current situation. Search for your items in Google Shopping to see if they are showing up. I got emailed like that for a couple of my accounts but my products were still showing up. If you are set up for a daily or weekly feed that migt be Google's way of telling you that nothing was uploaded because the items or already there.

Thanks for the responses. I did check on google and my items that have been listed for awhile still show up, but newer listed items do not. I may have the free shipping tag in some descriptions, would that eliminate all my listings?

thanks again

I can't help you much, since I'm not up on how Mike is handling things at AM.

But I'd email Mike and see what he has to say.

If you have "free shipping" in some listings it will elminate those but the main reason for the rejection is most likely it is a feed from an individual seller. You shoudl go in and eliminate any mention of "free shipping" from your listings. From what I understand, Mike is in the process of building a new feed incorporating all of the stores which he feels would be accepted by Google. If your store has items that are in violation of Google requirements, it wont be included.

For most sites, Google gave them until early December to meet the new requirements but it seems that AM is one of the earlier sites who have to be within standards. Whether this is because AM is already practically set up for this or some other reason, I dont know. It's a bit painful right now since I have seasonal Halloween items to list that wont be including in Google Products until Mike gets this straightened out but the upside is that all of the bugs should be worked out by the time the holiday shopping season starts which could hurt the sites that are getting a later start on the Google feeds.

I really can't work out Google base.Since they implemented the new system I've uploaded most of my stuff via a spread sheet (as distinct from the old form).Have had next to no views since they up loaded.
Seems a lot of aggravation for very little result to me.
