hi everyone, i am just a new seller on ecrater. One month ago,a buyer who bought a jade tabacco pipe for his father, but when i sent it to him,he said his father didn't like it coz it only be used to smoke with 1-2 cigarette,In fact,it is a good valuable jade collection, but his father think it is not good for smoking.lol.they want to return it..and after discussion,i said he could return it but he would pay the shipping fees.and i would give him a refund.but subsequently, he said i didn't sent him gift box,so he ask me to send the gift box to him.then, they would decide whether or not to return the pipe,I really don't know how they think about it? just playing the joke with me?
But he didn't contact me till today, one week past, now,he still want me to refund his money with a returning. But now,one month past after the purchase,it means his father has used my pipe one month, but now, he want to return it.It is so unfair to me.
I never meet a buyer like this before on ebay.but the first time meet on ecrater.so now, i really want to know what should i do?
give me some suggestions, thus, i will appreciate you a lot. Thanks a lot in advance. |

People are often quite funny...I would think after a month they would have decided whether they liked the pipe or not! LOL
Did you advertise a gift box or special storage box that should have been shipped with the pipe? If you didn't include this, perhaps sending this to them would suffice.
I see you are from China...I think often the language barrier is an issue as well. Good communications between you and the customer is a must.
I hope you have many more eCrater sales! :D |

I don't know what is right thing to do at this point but
I would put in my sales policy returns accepted after so many days 7 days or what ever you think is acceptable and item must not be used

The right thing to do is to refund their purchase price.
Just because they've had the item for a month, doesn't mean they've used it. They been waiting for you to do the right thing.
One more reason to avoid doing business with sellers from China. |

Yes, my friend, i have wrote the refund policy clearly.the items must be returned within 14 days. and must be kept in the original condition.so i feel it is so unfair to me. |
