Hey there,

This is Troy, founder of AuctionWars and I would like to invite everyone to check out my auction website and give me feedback. After all, without knowing what people think, how can we fix it?

Thank you

Troy

To be honest, the site has the same generic look as the other sites which use this software, and "Auction Wars" sounds a little unprofessional to me.

Thank you for your input - It's a new site and we are doing new things with it every day.

Sure thing. Give it an original look and a bit more of an appealing name for a start. You'll need quite a budget to get it off the ground and get traffic from buyers and sellers.

Hi AuctionWars,
You need to customise your site. Too much like Abidders at the moment, even the same idea of a bonus for referrals. Not meaning to hurt your feelings but why should I leave Abidders for your site, or alternatively, why should I go on your site as well as Abidders?
Good Luck,
Susie at PVH

Registration not secure.

Whether you ask for financials or not, internet savvy consumers and sellers will blow by your site and fuggedabou'it.

I've grown rather tired of wasting time on new startup auction sites. I'm not going to sign up for anymore until there is one that has proven its self.

LurkeyLou,

No, it is not secure. Sorry.

An SSL certificate runs around $350 per year. I am not ready to spend that much cash at the moment. Once there is a residual income, I would gladly at it to my list.. :D

I updated it so it shows a price now...

Thank you for pointing that out.

Ok, you have me thinking now.

If anyone knows of or thinks of a good name, throw it my way, would love to consider it.. :)

No. An SSL is not $350.00 a year.

I'm building my own stores.

I have SSL. It's $30.00 a year - $60.00 (you have to buy 2 yrs) - for 128-bit SSL. That's $2.50 a month.

256-bit is $150.00 for 2 years, that runs $6.25 a month.

A 2 year wild card certificate runs $40.00 more than your quote.

My time and effort is worth the $2.50 a month investment. If I don't offer security, some people will find items at site that do and I will loose the sales...and waste marketing time & $$.

Good luck with your site.

Update: We added an SSL Certificate to AuctionWars.com so everyone can feel safer registering with the site.
