PayPal's Government Relations team recently launched a new grassroots program that is a take-off on eBay's Main Street program designed to help with government lobbying activities. PayPal says its Main Street program "is a great way to help protect yourself or your business from possible legislation or regulations that may affect the way you are able to shop online or conduct your online business."
eBay created its Main Street program in 2005 and sends representative sellers from all 50 states to Washington, DC once a year to learn how to lobby and meet with their elected representatives.

Like eBay's ridiculous attempts to micro-manage every movement that sellers are allowed to take while attempting to make money on eBay?
I would suggest that Paypal should be required to follow ALL current US federal banking laws, since they already act like a bank when it suits them, but they'd probably would be asking for some of that TARP money. |
