After a long and frustrating search my frustration has ended. I have decided to put my products on Ecrater. I sell all handmade items and I wasn't satisfied with Etsy or Artfire and all of the others, but something about Ecrater made up my mind. It wasn't necessarily that it was free but I believe with that and all the other features combined pushed me into that direction. Its simple, easy, google analytics, good traffic. All in all, I would have to say Ecrater is probably the best alternative out there. The name of my store is.

Good luck with your new store! Let us know how it's doing after a few months or so. I have had a little eCrater store since 2006. I think it can be a worthwhile site to use.

Congratulations.Ecrater is best and I am also a happy seller there(no fees).

Can't wait them to introduce html.

I have made the same decision. I like the look of eCrater, it is easy to navigate. It is also a name that has recognition, a number of people have asked me if I have a shop at "the moon".

It used to be worth your time, because they had the fastest google feed to get your products noticed, but now others are just as good if not better. Also, there are a ton of negative changes going on over there the google is forcing on them. I had countless hours of ads taking down, because I included the shipping options in my descriptions which just became a no-no. Instead of telling you whats wrong, they just take down all of your ads and let you try to figure it out yourself. Not worth your time even if it is free.

ebaykiller09 Actually the items being rejected has nothing to do with eCrater, that's a Google thing. I had about 300 items rejected because I had free shipping on your third item on all my patterns, I removed the free part and they were accepted. If you read the newsletter, they are also suggesting removing boilerplates within the description. My guess is that will be the next thing that Google will be enforcing.

Google makes the rules...eCrater works Very well for me and for many others, but you do have to follow Googles rules if you want to stay in the game.

ebaykiller09 Actually the items being "TAKEN DOWN" have nothing to do with google. If your items appear in red on your admin that's because the eCRATER team found them to be against the eCRATER TERMS. ONLY items in violation of the terms are "taken down".

Google is "forcing" the same rules on ALL sites. You just don't know it becuase other sites aren't telling you about it.

ecrater has just hit another mile stone becoming one of the first official google affiliates. its looking up just like my sales. once people realise its also totaly free why would they list anywhere else? its the best non auction site out there.

conspicuosly abscent from the list bonnies

I don't understand why people if they are selling fixed price items want to list on ebid & etsy where you have to pay them fees while ecrater is completely free with no fees at all for unlimited listings and 10 free photos each.

and their usually the ones griping the loudest about ebays unfair fees. ecrater is the place its taken me years to get established but my sales have never been better (not close to ebays) im averaging a sale a day. with the google announcement things are looking better and better glad i picked them over blujay 2 years ago.
