Results of the Wednesday Wave/Drama I found hilarious!!

Prize donor offered HUGE handcrafted THING. Which obviously does not conform to all peoples decor preferences.

The PRIZE is hanging behind and to the side of the prize donor.

Not to mention, the prize donor had the prize winner blocked, so it couldn't be shipped to the winner. The PRIZE winner graciously asked that the prize be sent to the runner-up.

The following is a quote from the upset prize donor after everyone on OLA tried to cheer her up after her craft project REJECTION.
You all are the best! Thanks for cheering me up!
If I could make more, I would so you all could have one but that is the only one like it (Thank GAWD!)
and some people wonder why I have them on my blocked list!

Now the Prize donor has removed all her items from OLA. boo hoo :(

I went to click the link, but apparently my membership is no longer valid there. I quit selling there a while back, but I was still able to log in to shop.

Guess not any more.

I must say that the prize was something I would never use or give to anyone I know. What is wrong with telling the donor to give it to someone who would appreciate it?

I do not know anyone who does or likes crafts most of their houses are contemporary or modern. It seems that the cheerleaders still give BL a hard time even though she constantly tries to be friendly.

It seems the group listens to MM and her puppet CC.

I think you are getting paranoid on the fact that everyone seems to have multiple IDs. After reading the blog, I have just one question. Why did you not just omail or email your cronies to ask about the coffee since you were doing it to be friendly? Could it be that you just wanted it to seem that OLA had more sales?

BTW - as co-host to OLA radio, what happened?

In a game where a prize is given, the member has to purchase enough to win the prize. And the report given, by the OP, that the winner 'graciously' asked it to be given away is simply not what happened. She won it on purpose so that she could, in big colored font, say that she had no use for the prize. It was just one more moment in this member's long history of being nasty and purposely starting drama.

It took 14 purchases to win that prize, just so she could be nasty about it. Second place purchased 12 items. The winner was already ticked off from an earlier issue with me and this was how she retaliated. Hurt someone elses feelings and provide fodder for you fine folks.

As for the multiple ID's... you notice all the recently banned ID's in these current threads... right? Come on... when I'm wrong about something I apologize... the least (the VERY least) you could do is admit when I'm right.

When Dave White is ready to do the radio program again, I will, more than likely, be there with him. I say more than likely because perhaps I'll be doing something else. I was not canned from the show, but if thinking that makes you feel better, well, go ahead.

Edited to add: I did not list any of the coffee for anyone who purchased. The coffee was not an OLA transaction, it was more a 'neighborly' transaction.

BL had the right to pass her prize on to the next runner up, but it was how she worded it by saying "I have no use for this." That hurt the person who made the craft. There was no "drama" as originally posted.

Now before you all think I have been sniffing the kool aid. I don't care much for OLA, but it bothers me when feelings are hurt. DC was very hurt by this. There are good people on OLA. I just dont like the powers to be or their tactics.

I absolutely agree and Thank You for your response.

This had nothing to do with OLA as a company. I understand that most of the members here don't like OLA and some of you have/had legitimate gripes. This was personal, not business. This had to do with purposely setting out to hurt someone's feelings and that was wrong. This had to do with purposely providing fodder for this board. Being mean simply to be mean should never be condoned or applauded... not even here.

I never thought you were canned from the show, in fact you did an excellent job. All I was saying was that co-host it seemed that you would know the reason the show is no longer on the air. As other people had posted, if it was due to illness it seems that would have been posted on OLA news and not just remove the radio link.

As for the multiple IDs, the original poster is not banned and if BL has a problem with you why take it out on someone else?

Thank You for the radio compliment. The reason I said I wasn't canned is because several people have suggested outright that I was. You're right... you never said that and I apologize for my post looking as though I was accusing you.

Here is a closer look. Not sure if the rejection was malicious...but as always LOOK WHO HAS to put in thier 2 cents. Unless that person secretly wants it OR even made it themself.

It did not even sell at the craft show. Why push it on someone else?

ONLY THE ABOVE THOUGHT PROCESS could come from someone so evil. I did click on the above attachment from w and read that BLOG. That person thinks they are getting publicity, but in reality it shows that persons "true evil spirit" SCARRRY

Oh my goodness !! I just cannot BELIEVE this !! I being the 'prize winner' NEVER purposely set out to hurt anyone !

metzy said- It took 14 purchases to win that prize, just so she could be nasty about it. Second place purchased 12 items. The winner was already ticked off from an earlier issue with me and this was how she retaliated. Hurt someone elses feelings and provide fodder for you fine folks

I almost didn't play the Wave this week, because I knew I couldn't use the prize- I would NEVER purposely set out to WIN just so I could hurt someone's feelings- WHY am I constantly be accused of such things? I am VERY disappointed that such a wonderful game went 'sour' on the end and I was, once again, attacked ?

I will swear before God and everything Holy- that was NOT my intentions at ALL !! I just happened to find a lot of great deals on this week's wave- and ended up buying 14 items. I HAVE won SEVERAL of the Wednesday Waves- and I AM a good buyer !!

I honestly did not think that by saying "I have no use for the prize" that I would be hurting anyone's feelings- I didn't say it was distasteful or ugly- or anything insulting. The runner-up had won 12 items, and I had purchased from her before... so thought that passing the prize to her would be in good taste?...

I am truly sorry, if my 'choice of words' was found to be tasteless and rude... I did not mean them that way- and was simply being honest, in saying I had no use for it. My decorating does not include handmade crafts- and I know a lot of people love them- I lean towards Art, sculptures and antiques...

I did not want the donor to pay (what must be expensive) the shipping- to ship something that large, to someone who couldn't really 'use' the item...

My feelings are extremely hurt !! I have been falsely accused of being mean, rude, and deliberately winning, just to insult someone ?. Never have I been treated in this manner before. I AM a nice person.

I was absolutely SHOCKED at the reaction to my transferring the prize to the runner-up... Apparently- I should have chosen a better choice of words- However, in my opinion, to say , "I had no use for the item" - was NOT an insult to the donor nor the item ...Just the simple truth. Betty Lou
