The Wednesay Wave topic thread became locked before I could at least make a brief comment. For several years now, I've witnessed this same subhuman behavior on the OLA threads. I rarely visit them for this very reason. I've been out of didies too many years to return to them now.
I just wished to state my revulsion at insulting behavior. Whether one found the prize offered there desirable or not, humiliating someone in a public forum is reprehensible. It needs to be kept on OLA where it began. Guess it metastisized onto PSU. Glad to see it was caught in it's relatively early stages. I think I can say without hesitation that pummeling anyone here is usually done in self defense and/or defense of truth. Sincere posters to the forum haven't the time for folly. Please allow the game playing to remain on OLA where it belongs and exposing OLA for what it is can continue here.
I will say this, that post was the very spirit I have found all through OLA. The only time it is found distasteful is when it is done to one of those not within the inner circle. Like the singling out of the member BL. Anything anyone wishes to claim against her anywhere is fair game, acceptable. Her bad behavior is sworn to by those within the circle, thus it is truth. This same behavior doesn't work the other way around though. I am neither a supporter nor a decenter of BL. Simply mentioning how the OLA system operates. I speak from logtime, watchful expeience. |

| Thank you oldfogey, for your comments. I was shocked to see how this escalated- from simply not wanting an offered wave prize, to my being mean, nasty and insulting ? . I really am sorry that my turning down the prize, and offering it to the runner-up, was taken the wrong way. I did not insult the prize donor, nor did I say I didn't 'like' the prize- just that I had no use for it. Obviously, a poor choice of words? I did put that message in large, colored, letters- this was ONLY because I wanted to make SURE the Hostesses noticed it. I would have omailed the main Hostess- but she has me blocked- I would have nicely omailed the prize donor- but she too, has me blocked... I guess what shocked me the most- was that many of the members, also, seemed to take my notice as a personal insult to the creator of the craft. I will know next time- to accept the prize whether I need it, want it, or not. LOL- Betty Lou |
