The ChannelAdvisor Same Store Sales October results are in and there were a couple of interesting trends that could indicate how the Q4 holiday season is going to shake out.
Amazon (AMZN) led the pack (as usual) with 61% y/y growth - up from Septembers 55%
Overall at ChannelAdvisor we saw things pick up overall very nicely from the high single digits to 17% y/y.
eBay (EBAY) had a slight tick down to 4.73% from Septembers 5.1% - that's small enough that I don't think it's cause for any concern.
Comscore (SCOR) hasn't put out their October numbers, but I suspect they will be flat to down slightly.

Amazon had growth of 61%, while eBay dropped from 5.1 to 4.73%, but it's no cause for concern?
I guess they won't worry until they're completely dead. |

Amazon is doing so well for two reasons, customers love the ease of buying and trust the site.
I am expecting Nov and Dec to see them continue this growth. |

Amazon is running 50% of my ebay sales for the first time ever. Except for Dec 08 I am on track for my biggest month on amazon ever.

| I've actually sold 2 higher priced books at Amazon this month...I only have about 20 listed, I kind of forgot abou them! Not too bad (lol) perhaps I should list some more, most of mine have cobwebs on them. :lol: |
