Stepping out of my role as a seller to role as "upset mom before Christmas." One of my kids had one request for Christmas and it was a discontinued video game - it was $28. bought it from amazon and it came, but the wrong game is in the case. A game that's worth about $3.
I've never had to return anything to a private amazon seller before - does anyone know what my rights are? I'm realizing that the seller could claim that I'm the one who pulled the switch and I have no way to prove it. But it's definitely not the right game. I emailed him asking for the correct disc (I don't even necessarily want to return this, I just want the right game) so hopefully it will validate my story.
I wrote, but haven't heard back. Anybody know what rights are for an incorrectly received item? |

Hi there --
Give the seller a couple of days, and maybe another e-mail, before your next move. If the Seller doesn't respond, file an A to Z (Amazon Guarantee) claim on the item. Explain your case. You will win -- Buyers almost always win A to Z cases. (Keep in mind though that you have a limited number of A to Zs that you can file over your account lifetime -- 5, I think?) You may not get the right game from this Seller, but you will get your money back. |
