Does Ecrator allow drop shipping on their site ? If they do, does anyone here use their site for drop shipping ? Thanks for any answers to this question.

Hi,

You can dropship when you use eCrater but you will be considered an affiliate.

eCrater term--3.4 All products from affiliate websites will not be included in "simple" searches in the main eCRATER marketplace and will appear at the bottom of the respective categories. Affiliate website is a website provided with products, images and texts from another company to sell their products. Dropshippers and distributors are considered as affiliate too.

There is no bulk editor on ecrater.

So if you upload like 5000 items and want to re-edit it you have to do it manually one by one.

I heard that you are allowed to used the bulk lister only once and a CSR has to manually approve it.

Other than that ecrater is great. Best wishes.

eCrater does allow sellers to list dropshipped items, though I wish they wouldn't.

Be sure to let any prospective buyers know that you don't actually have any of the items you list, in stock.

I always hate buying something only to find out afterwards that the seller is using a dropshipper. You never know how long it will take to get the item, or if it will even be in stock.

You might post these questions in the eCrater forum, the mods are quite helpful. I know they allow dropship items but I'm not sure what the limitations are.

So Does Ecrater have about 3 million listings?

I assume some are using ecrater and doing heavy duplication for their personal reasons and not aimed at google shopping? I know its been a week since last update so monday or so numbers should change big time.

I seem to get most all into the feeds but I try to change every title a bit and I do not list exactly the same item more than once. different pics for every auction also. I see more and more Ebay items showing up on google shopping so i think they kissed and made up. lol. Personally if I sell through Google shopping i would prefer it not to go through ebay but I guess Ebay has a lot power. I'm up to 800 items on ecrater. Great place.

You should ask eCrater about the count sent to GS.

They would know the right number.

All we can do here is guess.

from going to google shopping.. that shows 9% of ecraters items in shopping.. also shows about the same with bonanzles items 9% but with blujays items it shows 30%...

does this mean the blujay is feeding alot of drop shippers to google and the others are NOT? will google catch that and then black ball blujay??

Ask the site managers of each site you are requesting info on.

They know what is going on, not us. Like I said before, we can only guess.

As far as your numbers, they could be flawed for several reasons.

The best place to get info is from the horses mouth on things like this.

isn't the horses mouth google shopping?? how many items are UP... a low percent may mean the site is careful of not sending up drop ship items .. ecrater and bonanzle shows 9% whereas blujay 30%..

I guess one can click on ads and see if they look like drop shipped items..

the sites that don't upload drop shipped items those sellers will go to the sites that do like maybe blujay.

are mostly blujay sellers drop shippers?? if google does not black ball blujay for doing that.. i would think they would get the drop ship sellers to go to blujay.

will blujay become the site for drop ship sellers??

Google is watching the drop shipped items much more closely now than before. We're generally pretty good at spotting the DS items and not including them in our feeds, but we had a few sub-accounts disapproved by Google for that reason, when it wasn't immediately apparent that they fell into that category. Some product lines make it a little harder to identify their origin than others.

So far we're around 57% GS penetration according to their figures:

http://www.google.com/products?q=site%3Aatomicmall.com&btnG=Search+Products&show=dd

... but the percentage of drop-shipped items on our site is nowhere near 43%. This means that either the Google site counts are wrong, or they are disallowing more feeds than they are indicating.

Figuring out Google's modes and methods is an ongoing project. :-)

Blujay hasn't been in Google for probably six months! The owner finally submitted the stores a few weeks ago...and yes I believe they will submit anything listed on the site which could end up affecting everyone on the site. Blujay has the reputation of porn and illegal items, not a pretty picture that's for sure. Daily people come into the forums reporting they have been ripped off by sellers there. It's a nice site but has been unattended for probably a year or so. I think the owner is finally stepping up to the plate and trying to clean the site up which will certainly be beneficial for the honest sellers.

eCrater is a well maintained site that's for certain. The owners do a great job getting your items into Google, but promotion is up to you.

What it means is that you are being rather ridiculous.

Buyer's don't type in a website's name or even the seller's ID. They type in the item they are looking for.
