| Someone else contacted me days later from ecrater and is trying to help me with the problem. I will post back on how it goes. I guess it helps to write a few times and get different people from support. |

It's fairly well known that eCrater doesn't care for sellers making use of dropshippers, yet you did so anyways.
Usually if you are suspended, all you have to do is show them that you have taken care of the situation that caused the suspension and they let you sell again.
Perhaps emailing Dmitri might shed some light on what the actual problem seems to be. |

| I remember seeing your post about your situation. If I remember correctly you and your competitor had the same contact info or 800 number listed in your store. Maybe I have this confused, but Google no longer allows listing the same items on multiple sites. |

| If you have Dimitris email, I would love to email him and try to explain my situation. I have only communicated with Tracy and she did not read my message. I do not have any duplicate listings on ecrater and if I did I would be glad to remove them. I have these products listed on other sites which feed to google and I have never had a problem with any of them. Also google never reported any issues to me or gave me an error in the feed. It was only ecrater who canned me. I also have no problem removing the 800 # considering 99% of the customers purchase online. I did have my own ext. at the end of the 800 # but I guess just having the same number could have caused an issue. |

blinglights since you drop ship the same items as other sellers google will ban ecrater for listing duplicate items.
There are other sellers who sell on ecrater who don't drop ship.
So ecrater has to choose between a majority of sellers who stock their inventory vs a small number of drop shippers.
There are some sites I think that don't allow drop shipping at all.
Ecrater should have the option to turn off the google feeds for drop shippers so that ecrater don't get banned from google rather than suspending the stores.
I think Ola & Ioffer already got banned from google base for violation of its policies.
I don't want to see that happen to ecrater as majority of its sales come from Google. |

| I would have no problem turning my feed off if it was an option. I think most of my sales came from google adwords. I'm curious about the google banning multiple items though. What if multiple sellers are selling new ipods or new Playstation 3's? Will they also not be allowed to sell on google? I know that ebay also feeds my listings too google and I couldn't imagine google banning them. Some other sites which send my feeds are atomicmall and stootsi and they have both provided me great support and I haven't had an issue with them. I know that they charge a final value fee, but I do not mind paying that if everything else is good. |

blinglights Google has set the rules for listing items on only one venue. The reason being...If a shopper is looking for a particular item they want unique results. Not the same item listed on 3 or 4 sites by the same seller. From a shoppers point of view this makes perfect sense, as a seller it stinks!
I do know eCrater doesn't offer the option of turning off your feed, Bonanzle does and perhaps AM does as well. |

It's not right that you go on this site and slam Ecrater. If you don't like it then just leave and sell on the places you do like. They are a great site. They have almost 3 million listings so they have to have some kind of rules. I don't want Ecrater shut down because some people can't read the rules. Also it also says they can suspend your store if there is a problem of some sort. You need to read the rules and it will answer your questions. I have 5 stores and have not had any kind of problem with admin.
Google is always changing their rules and Ecrater has to abid by them if they want to be able to upload anything to their search engine. I'm glad they keep up with the rules and don't get us all shut down. |

It's not the item that causes the problem, but the listing itself. If all the people selling Ipods or Playstation 3's were using dropshippers and their ads had the same cookie cutter cut & paste look to them, then Google would drop them all. |

Also I have to add that drop shippers all use same photos & descriptions as their mother site.
Also dropshippers cause a lot of resentment of buyers towards a site.
Most of times the customer experience out of stock orders, difficulty in returns, unknown shipping & handling times, risk of their info being sold by the drop shipper company to others etc. |

| I didn't come here to slam the site but rather to just tell what happened to me and its possible it can happen to someone else. I have posted on this site many times in the past and this is basically the only negative post I ever had. My ecrater store was there since ecrater was first created and I have never had any problems or warnings in the past about it. As I explained before other sellers who sell for blinglights came on ecrater in the past year and copied my listings. I was kicked off for this and they were not. Me being upset comes from a perfect record on the site for many years without any complaints from customers or ecrater staff. I just logged on one day and everything is gone and noone from ecrater will help me with anything. I understand that they are trying to be compliant with google and I am willing to do anything to make my listings compliant but they do not care. I am going to try out auctivacommerce which seems similar to ecrater but charges a fee. I don't mind switching sites, I am just upset about having to list 6000 items again. |

| I sell on ecrater with no problem. Course I just have one store there and no drop shipping or duplicate listings anywhere. Google doesn't allow duplicates. I have my items in stock and ready to ship when I list. |

Correct point, not sure OP understands you are talking about someone selling knicknack xyz on 15 sites that have google links. Google would have 15 copies of same thing listed by same person and potential buyers would have a fit. Jams up the searches with the same stupid item.
OP seems to think members are talking about the forbidden practice of listing two knicknack xyz on same site. No site likes that because it never stops at two!!
If OP wants a good, big, excellent site to replace this one, try ebid.net. Just got a brand new polished up website as of yesterday. |

I liked eCrater when I had a store there , few issue with the spartan systems but overall I very much apprciated the site and will use it again.
I never was a drophipper so I never had any issues , its a great option for lots of people. This post is more of a special case and I don't think people should be discouraged from using a site like eCrater.
If you have an eCrater store more then welcome to post a link on my site of eCrater store links
I closed my own eCrater store when my biz shutdown last summer but as soon as I startup a new biz this summer ,I will open an eCrater store again ! Thats for sure ! |
