Trying to find a very small tent...about 18" X 18" for my stray cat for when it rains this summer. Needs to be camo or white in color because it will go under my front porch where the mobile home park manager won't see it.
Needs to be the kind that doesn't have a vent at the top for rain to drip through and some kind of something that keeps the rain from running off and into the "front door" as it will have to always remain open. Waterproof, of course.
Been looking online and haven't gone to the sporting goods stores yet. Everything I'm seeing has no protection from run off. Price range about $20. |

How about a box with a painted tarp covering the outside of it.
Can even put an old fluffy towel or blanket inside for comfort. |

| Thats what i have. A little house with a shingle roof on it and a bed inside. I still leave my garage door open like six inches so they can get in there. Being from NJ it gets real cold out there and we have a real old neighborhood stray so we let her go in the garage. |

| why not use a plactic stoeage tub you can buy for 5 .00 at wal mart and just a small piece of the top to make a overhang and some duct tape to attach it a 10 gallon should do the trick and if not that a styro foam cooler you can anchor them with a rock no need to spend 20 .00 |

Thanks for the responses!
Cloth and cardboard are out because of rain and humidity. My porch doesn't have a solid floor.
Leaning toward the plastic tub because it would give her a cool place to lay, but don't know about heat buildup as it can get up to 100 degrees. Of course, she could stay cool under the porch and not get in the tub when it isn't raining...she does that now.
This winter she shared a pup tent with my plants. In looking for a summer solution, I found a lot of info about feral cats in the winter that will come in handy next year.
I wish she would come in, but my indoor cats refuse to accept her and vice versa.

The cat is feral and you're spending money on it?
It definitely has YOU well trained. |

Thanks, thegolfingdolphin, but all indoor stuff. Saved it for my indoor kitties, though.
DaLizardsLair, you better believe it! This cat has been around the neighborhood for over 10 years and finally got left with me...people move, people die, you know?
She's a sweety and gets along with almost all the other strays and most people...been spayed, too. Is there when I leave for work and there when I get home waiting on me. I go out and sit on the steps with her and she crawls up in my lap...all 15 pounds of her!
Here's a pic of her
Guess I'll make my own. I bought a covered litter box that will probably work if I seal the vents in the top and make some kind of awning to attach to it. |

The cat probably crawls under your trailer when it rains. They used to do that with mine, until I started putting large rocks in the holes.
It's there all the time because it knows a soft touch when it sees one. |
