Do your Twitter? Have an eCrater Store? Join the Twitter Party
http://community.ecrater.com/viewtopic.php?p=171920
We twitter items in stores that are listed below.
Here's the thought, If I twitter an item from someone elses store my followers see it. They normally don't see your tweets. I may or my not be receiving your tweets. I am not talking about reTweeting, although that could be done too.
It's all about being seen, right?
post your twitter link (IF YOU HAVE ONE) and your store link to the topic - http://community.ecrater.com/viewtopic.php?p=171920 |

| In the back of my mind, that's exactly what I thought elgato but after hearing all the hoop la I opened a twitter account. I think there are much better way the promote sale, but I did not want to closed minded about the latest trend. |

Exposure is exposure. I'm not sure how EC does theirs, but AS has been sending a twitter feed for some time now. We've gotten lots of hits from it, and a couple of sales. As long the set up is easy, and virtually painless, its free exposure. We have the main AS account, and then a feed available for sellers also. You will have to monitor the porn stars who want to follow you. Just lke at Myspace. Frankly, I'm not into social networking like these sites, but peeps seems to like it.. and it if brings a sale or two with little effort, who am I to say otherwise, if people want to use it.
If EC is doing something similar, what harm can it do to get yourself some free exposure? |

I USED to think that too. Then I thought well let me try this for 6 months. I haven't been there for 2 months yet BUT I can tell you this much -
It is a fact that when you tweet a specific product listing that the views on that item instantly JUMP up - due to search engines crawling mostly I believe because it happens too fast for it to be live people.
Many times I will tweet about a specific product and it sells within a week. I'm talking OLD items I have listed for years!
I tweeted an old item of MaggieTheCat and that day or the next (can't remember) it sold. Was it because of the tweet? Who Knows. Who really cares. It sold and that's what matters.
I know everytime I tweet about belly button brushes I get orders for them. Today I got 12 sold!
For me it's all about EXPOSURE. If I tweet to my 200 followers and just 5 of them retweet to their bunch of followers before you know it my store is infront of 1000+ people that never knew I was there. NOW not all 1000 will bother to look at my store but some will. Lookers can turn into buyers.
I spend about an hour a day either in twitter or at www.socialoomph.com creating draft tweets and sceduling them.
To me that's an hour a day we worth it! |

I've had a Twitter account for awhile but didn't do much with it. When this started I joined in and I try to put several tweets out there everyday.
Now, this may be my imagination but I've checked some of the items I've put on and the hits have jumped up a lot and I mean 50 or more hits.
My sales were good through the "season" and then it would usually slow down. It has slowed but not nearly as much as laat year.
I need to check GA but I'm sure Twitter doesn't hurt. I will have to try that social oomph site, sounds like it would save alot of time. 8) |
