1. Why paypal is not working ? Google Checkout works.
2. After 1 item sold, why this item still shows available, instead of taken down?
Thanks |

If the item was to be paid by PayPal, but the buyer didn't complete the buying process, the item will still be available for sale until the PayPal transaction is complete.
If the item was paid for with Google Checkout, if you are like me, you have to go into your GC account and manually charge their order. Until you do, the item will still be available for sale.
Be sure to keep an eye on your GC orders, as you only have so many days to charge the order, before GC will cancel it.
Hope this helps |

I'd also check to make sure you have your accepted web payment services properly set up at the ecrater site. I've had problems over there myself and fixed it.
I've also enjoyed the increase in sales over there this past holiday season :D |

If you are using GCO only ship item after money reaches your bank account.
So many times gco close accounts without warning and refund all orders that was not yet paid.
GCO want you to intercept the package for the charged order.
If the item was delivered gco want you to ask buyer to pay by someother means which often times never happens. |

How do you know that Paypal isn't working?
Maybe the buyer hasn't paid for it yet. |

If this is a new Google Account they have changed the payout schedule. So, you would not want to hold item till the money get to your bank account.
Payout schedule for new merchants
If you're new to Google Checkout, payouts will be initiated to your bank account ten business days after you successfully charge an order. After 60 days, Google Checkout will conduct a review of your account. During our review, we will consider a variety of factors to determine if your payout schedule should be adjusted. These factors are based on a proprietary set of rules, and may include chargeback rates, transaction behavior, and business credit reports.
If our review finds your Google Checkout account to be in good standing after 60 days, you'll transition to the standard payout schedule. The financial contact specified in your Checkout account will receive an email confirming this
transition. To ensure you receive important notifications from us, please add the following addresses to your address book: noreply@checkout.google.com, noreply@checkout.l.google.com, and accounts-noreply@google.com.
BORNTOBEAD - If you go into your Google Account under "Settings" and then "Preferences" Check the box that says - "Automatically Authorize and Charge Buyer's Credit Card" |

So now GCO is putting a 10 day hold on funds. And we're supposed to think that they're better than Paypal why? |

love2shop,
Thanks for the tip. I always thought I could do that, I just haven't taken the time to look for it. Most of my customers still use PayPal, but this will be a time saver for when someone pays with GCO. |

Just remember, that once you do so, you have 24 hours to ship the buyer's item, or GCO may refund the buyer. You also have to provide GCO with the tracking number of the shipment or risk losing the money.
And GCO doesn't accept DC as proof of delivery, since it doesn't provide the buyer's street address. They require Signature Confirmation on ALL shipments. |

I guess I've been lucky so far. I found two items this morning that I had not marked as shipped (I shipped in Dec.), and so far no problem, the money was in my bank account within 3 days.
I also only use DC when I ship, and that's the number I enter when I mark item as shipped. I always ship within 24 hours unless it's Sunday or Holiday. |

Dalizard ---Just found this on Google, About 95% of my items are under $250.00, so maybe DC will be okay. But, I'll remember to add sig. conformation if I sell anything over $250.00
"You must provide proof of delivery to the buyer's shipping address as specified in the Google Checkout merchant center or API call. For transactions greater than US$250, you must provide signed proof of delivery with the buyer's signature." |

When a transaction works smoothly, there's no problem regardless of the payment method.
It's only when there's a problem...or a perceived problem does the fine print come into play.

DC does not show the buyer's shipping address. UPS and FedEx do. |

I too use DC on all my items, and I always send the customer a shipping notice as well through my GCO dashboard.
To the OP check to make sure you have inventory control turned on in your dashboard. You might also check the quantity you have in the particular listing. |

On NEW accounts for the first 60 days.
It's been this way about a year. |
