| I just found out this morning that dustycorners has made me her newest thing to keep her life going. I am blacklisted. Oh well. I have 85 feedbacks and waiting for 5 more to come in. What about the buyers who don't read the chats? I guess when Wednesday comes I will have to let OLA know not to charge my $8 for the next month. Anyone have any ideas? How to help me? |

Do not wait til Weds. as this site does not have a very good reputation. If you wait they can say they did not get your request in time or did not get your request.
Anyways I would settle with them as leave as soon as you can. I have not tried to sell there as so many people here here said bad things about the operation at OLA that I just did not even give them a second look. Good luck as visit here often. |

Contact your credit card issuer to make sure that any attempt by OLA to charge your account be refused.
As stated by TGD, OLA has a horrible reputation for charging you even after they kick you out. |

As noted above you may not want to wait. If you want to downgrade your account at onlineauction.com you'll need to:
1.) call OLA and right away and have your seller account canceled
2.) remove all of your listings
OLA requires a 10 day advance notice on the seller account cancellation. It has been pointed out that listing removal is not stipulated in the User Agreement but discussions here and at OLA has reveal that leaving listings on the server leads to continued billing.
Alternately, some people have requested a new credit card and not worried further about billing when they destroy their old card.

I'm confused. If you have 85 feedback, how can you be the newest member of OLA? Fishy. |

| It seems to me that the only ones who take part in "blacklisting" are other sellers. If this is the case then you will only be affected if the "sellers" of the site dont buy from you. If you are counting on seller to seller sales at a site to make it work for you....why? In most cases they are only pity sales or sales to people looking to flip the items for a higher cost on another site. If being blacklisted means you have to close your account and move on, then that is a good thing. It will motivate you to go out and find a site with more buyer traffic and real sales. Not just seller traffic, feel good games and tonic sales. Good luck. |

She means the newest member to be "blacklisted" at OLA. Not the newest member of the site. |

Please point out where where BargainsByIrene stated that they are "the newest member of OLA". The word "newest" appears in the post but not in relation to OLA. |

So obvious it coulda' bit me?!! Thanks. I think Patch is prolly right. Maybe BargainsByIrene will clarify whether she's a new member of OLA or if she's the newest member to be blacklisted by OLA members. |

AWWW.. Just a type-o error- I'm sure she meant Newest Ola Member to BE blacklisted... I really LIKE BargainsByIrene ! She's 'good-people' .. Sweet lady with great items listed, at very reasonable prices. I really hated seeing brightgems and dusty putting her down on the chats - She SURE didn't deserve that !!
And brightgems shouldn't be saying ANYTHING about OTHER members, until she gets her OWN business straightened out !! Non-delivery of paid for items (and unrefunded or 'replaced' as promised) Not to mention the cheap junky jewelry she sells (stone fell out of ring first time worn) and she bawled me out- just for TELLING her about it ! and I wasn't even requesting a refund !! But got royaly chewed out !
BargainsByIrene re-cycles her packaging, using inverted boxes (as many of us do) to keep her shipping cost down- I don't care WHAT my item is packaged in- as long as the item arrives safely . Am I wrong? Irene's items are, at least- as described, and in the condition she describes, and safely shipped.
It's just a dog-goned SHAME if Ola loses yet another good member- just because of a couple of nasty-mouthed 'clique' members (who , APPARENTLY, can say whatever THEY want, and totally get away with it ! ) |

If you want help selling jewelry, I'm glad to help you with that. |

it's no wonder that OLA's listing count has been on a steady decline for months. All of the good sellers get chased away. What a shame.
Irene, there are plenty of good selling sites out there that would be thrilled to have you on board |

Hey Irene, welcome to the, "OLA Just Isn't That Into You" club. Silly you, you must have been trying make a few sales and asked why that wasn't happening. Something similar, for sure. Sounds like you were making a few. Maybe, when you call in to cancel, they will offer you a free Floundering Membership as is so their habit.
You didn't have over 6000 items, did you? That's haw-haw many questionable listings OLA lost overnight. They are now at 53,000+, where they were when the peculiar listings appeared.
The correct advice is -- get your listings off there and to be safe, report your card lost. Looks as if maybe you and seewhatimselling may have some history. God knows they drug her over the coals. Maybe you can PM her and get a little personal advice as well. Like I've said before, "No one is too nice or good for OLA to s--te upon". |

Bargainsbyirene...
My advise to you- at this point, would be to give all this a little more thought. Apparently you have been doing pretty good, with 85 Ola sales under your belt. You may be on the blacklist now- but so was metzymom and brightgems, at one time !! Brightgems AND Metzy BOTH have told me that they had a VERY HARD TIME with Ola members, when they started out... and were on a BlackList- and they were finally taken 'into the fold'.. Now- apparently- they is 'one of them'...
It's best to avoid the chats, although, being popular in the 'chats' is one way to get more sales...
There REALLY are only five or six of these 'clique' members- who constantly 'stir the pot'...MOST of the Ola members are really nice and easy to get along with. Honestly !! I have many, many friends on Ola !!
I guess what I"m trying to say is... If you ARE making sales on Ola- stay put for awhile, and see how it goes.
Maybe, one day, Ola will 'wake up' and realize that their "valued "cheerleaders (MM and her side-kick dusty) are NOT helping Ola- but are totally ruining Ola's reputation. Ola needs to learn how to treat ALL members fairly and equally, and to be more professional in how they conduct their business. We ALL want to be VALUED members. That status should not be reserved for just a few.... Betty Lou  |
