@Elpereles

Great info,

But i think you mean the number of sales as taken from your order numbers so it is 45,000 orders and 33,000 sales (at 75%) not $.

(You put a $ sign at the front!)

I think its more than that.
What is the sell though rate on ebay ?

If you hate bay, where do you sell, or recommend ?Im off of eBay now, when I was selling, my sell through rate was 90% or more, I knew which items would sell and started my auctions low, that was in the "old" days, before "best match", DSR's , one sided feedback...and "free shipping".
Right now I sell on Amazon, and Audiogon with success, and have also tried Bonanza and e-bid with little luck.
Still looking for a 3rd solid venue, if eCrater has a reasonable sell-throuh rate I will try it.

If you need sales, any site is worth a try. But I'm finding about 1 sale every two months, or less at Ecrater. I have ebay and Amazon going as well. Sometimes I take items from Ecrater, mark them up, and post them on ebay (when I am feeling lazy, and do not want to write a fresh description, and scan photos), and I often get sales on some of those items when they get posted on ebay.

So, to answer your question, no, not a reasonable sell-through rate at Ecrater just yet. My buyers would rather pay more money and get the item from me at Amazon or ebay.

I read about sellers making major sales at Ecrater, doing gang-busters business. Then I look at their items, and wonder how they can really pay the rent? Like how well can you do - selling fancy colored shoe strings, or clothing patterns? I can't imagine there is much money in shoe strings.

I'm doing vintage vinyl LPs and CDs. Average price I am trying to get is $19.99 to $49.99, with plenty of items priced at 9.99. I have a lot of imports from Sweden, Germany, Norway, Finland, Japan, UK, and some Russian. 1950s through 1982 vintage. Really exceptionally clean condition, some still sealed

I just did about $350.00 worth of sales at ebay this past 10 days. No sales at Ecrater in 3 months. Amazon has done me to the tune of about $175.00 then last 10 days.

So it is odd that I just can't get the action happening at Ecrater like I can elsewhere. And yet I refuse to give up. It was too much work building that store and writing up all the text pages, stocking up items. It took months to get it looking really crisp and clean.

I'm just going to keep selling on amazon and ebay, and moving what does not sell on ebay to Ecrater. Someone out there must drop in someday to buy something?

If people start listing their items on alt sites lower than on ebay as they can due to the much higher fees and now fees on shipping, then eventually buyers may start seeing the alt sites.
