|
|
eBay have just officially announced their expansion into the 6 new European territories revealed last November. Around 180 million shoppers in Russia, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, Sweden and Norway are now able to use an eBay site tailored for their own language.
Users in these new countries will see all of eBay translated into their own language, with the exception of the seller’s item titles and descriptions. They’ll be able to search across all eBay sites globally, but will only see search results from sellers willing to ship to their location. Prices will be displayed in local currency and they’ll be able to access customer support in their own language. You can see the new site at http://global.ebay.com/.
If you want to translate your listings to make it even easier to attract new customers Gumtree might be the place to go. Gumtree currently has over 6,000 ‘Skills & Language’ adverts live on the website, and has seen a 15% increase in the number of people looking for language lessons since the end of 2009.

Sweden, norway, denmark, (greece <- marginal) are ok... but shipping to Czech rep and Russia is simply putting a target on your behind and saying kick me-- lol
My list of no ship is below---- It cut my sales by 10-15% - cut my losses by foreign theft by 99% and increased my DSRs and feedback. Now if i could figure how to stop the US post offices theft then all would be golden. almost all theft was to these countries below for me, with Russia, mexico and South africa topping list. The national sport in Puerto Rico is claiming the item did not arrive but if you track it is very cheap as they are part of the US postal system and it really peaves them off as they are busted when they lie. lol. I sent $500 package to a guy he lied, so I had the PO there contact him with the date and time he picked the item up. His story changed immediatly

I have had successful sales to South Africa, the Czech Republic, Jamaica & the US Virgin Islands.
I've also sold to Canada, Puerto Rico, the UK, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Australia & New Zealand
But payment wasn't with Paypal since I don't accept it outside of the US. |
