As a long term retailer both on and off line I have had my share of difficult and abusive customers. It comes with the territory. But recently amazon buyers have veered beyond being occasionally difficult into sheer stupidity. For the fourth time in 3 weeks I've had buyers leave bad feedback about 2 items damaged during shipping and 2 defective items without bothering to tell us there was an issue.
WHY WHY WHY would someone take the time to leave bad feedback but not bother to report there is problem to the seller, or at least file an Amazon A-Z claim so we hear about it. Who throws away money????
My ebay customers are never this bad and they are supposed the worst cheapest most difficult customers ever. On ebay my feedback is 99.9, 4.9 stars and Top Seller Rated, but on Amazon I'm embarrassed to say I am down to 88%. And I am ready to quit.
Is Amazon really the new ebay with all its accompanying troubles? |

| It wasn't so long ago that you were bragging about how good your sales were on Amazon as compared to eBay. |

If you have any funds try to get it out of Amazon as soon as possible.
When a seller feedback goes down I think below 5% margin (I am not sure) the account will be suspended and all funds will be held for 90 days.
Because of the sheer amount of scammers and their crazy A-Z policy I don't sell on Amazon.
The Amazon checkout also has crazy A-Z protection even off Amazon. So I don't take their payment system also. |

| I know what you mean. I have sold 26 things on there since Sep '09 and only gotten 7 feedbacks so far. One person gave me a 3 which knocked down my 100% to 86%. They never emailed me about the "bad tape" before leaving the bad feedback. Made me upset. Is the sellers suppose to leave feedback on there that I dont know about? Why such a low feedback? I thought about taking my books off of there because the fee is too high. Their fee takes the shipping allowance and so the shipping comes out of the book sale. Its bad if you got a heavy book. |

I was on the amazon forums I have discovered there is an opportunity to have certain feedback removed.
If the feedback is 100% product review and makes no mention of shipping, damage, the seller or customer service it can be removed.
Amazingly I got two removed tonight in less than 3 hours!! |

| Maybe they got you mixed up with someone else and accidentally left it for you. I would ask them about it. |

The A to Z Amazon dispute system sucks.
1. If a buyer receives a item damaged Amazon will rule in the buyers favor EVEN WHEN YOU REPLACE IT and make the buyer happy!
2. If the buyer claims non receipt seller looses even when delivery IS CONFIRMED and there is no signature. If it was for sure lost & the seller replaces it and makes the buyer happy, THE SELLER STILL LOOSES!
3. If the buyer claims defective item Amazon will do a refund and THE BUYER CAN KEEP IT! No returns required! When you replace it with a good one & make the buyer happy, he can keep BOTH!
4. If the buyer claims they did not even make the order, the seller STILL LOOSES!
5. If you made a mistake and sent the wrong item Amazon will do a refund. When you send a paid return label the buyer can keep it and your label. If you send the correct item, he can keep all three!
Bottom line if there is a problem DON'T FIX IT. When you do instead of loosing one item you loose two. Your only hope is send a return label for claims of defective merchandise, wrong item sent or claims of "did not order"
Yes, DaLizardsLair buyers that rip me off do have to deal with my collection agency |

Amazon does NOT accept Delivery Confirmation as proof that the buyer got the item, since it does NOT provide the buyer's street address.
They REQUIRE that you use Signature Confirmation. |

I saw in another forum a seller lost a $40 non-receipt of item claim with Amazon even though usps delivery confirmation showed that item was delivered. But Amazon still refunded the seller money claiming that the seller need signature confirmation.
But when Amazon itself ship items to me they use fedex smart post and delivery is made by usps on final route and they only use delivery confirmation.I have a $500 item shipped from Amazon but they used only tracking no signature confirmation. Why this double standard to market place sellers ?
Amazon is very good for buying things. But on selling Amazon sucks.
Regarding the A-Z claim Amazon refund the seller money on a claim and the buyer is not required to return the item.I never heard of such a policy anywhere. |

Congrats on the removal! I know the feedback situation on Amazon can be brutal. I had to live with an Amazon feedback rating of 92% percent for about 9 months, but have been fortunate enough to have made it back up to 100% positive and 4.8 for the last 12 months. When I do get negged though, it's very painful. Every neg that I've received has been an insanely ridiculous one, and has knocked my rating down badly because buyers so rarely leave feedback at all. |

| We left Amazon over a year ago. Anybody that can take the pain and frustration, good luck. A colon exam is more friendly. Good luck on Amazon. LOL |

| I haven''t been selling too long on there and didn't realize all these rules. I think I'm just gonna take everything off of it and put them elsewhere. I get delivery confirmation on each of them too. I mostly got it for me since I rarely get any feedback, I wanted to know if it even got there. |
