Wait till you start getting canned food imported from China or Peanut butter.
They can make and get anything cheaper to the states and the west than "we" can.
They tried importing Chinese made peanut butter into New Zealand. But there was a huge outcry and they went back to Australian made peanut butter.
Here in New Zealand, where we have a huge fishing industry, they send some of the fish we catch to China to be processed and then sell it in our shops as New Zealand fish. (all that way there and back and they still make money ! - a year ago our government put up the minimum hourly wage so that now fish processers are losing their jobs)
But it has got Chinese water in it, on it (yuk !) |

China Puts US on eBay
SustainableBusiness.com News
Thanks to Andy Borowitz for this great laugh!! Have a great weekend.
BEIJING (The Borowitz Report) - Showing its impatience with the debt ceiling stalemate in Washington, China today took the extraordinary step of putting the United States of America on eBay.
Officials at the online auction site said they believed it was the first time a major Western nation had been listed for sale there "if you don't count Greece."
In Beijing, the Chinese Finance Ministry said that it had considered waiting until August 2 to see if the US would ever pay back its multitrillion-dollar obligations, but ultimately decided to cut its losses.
"We think we'll attract a buyer on eBay," the Ministry said. "Say what you will about the US, it's still one of the top fifty countries in the world."
The sales listing for the US contains some interesting information, such as China's description of the former superpower as being in "fair to average condition."
The listing also includes the stipulation "government sold separately," which the Finance Ministry took great pains to explain.
"We thought that including the government in the sale might turn off potential buyers," the Ministry said. "Plus, the US government isn't ours to sell anyway - it's owned by the Koch brothers."
With no bidders in the first 24 hours on eBay, China admitted that it would be challenging to unload the US, but it still held out hope that a buyer would step forward: "We've got our fingers crossed for Zuckerberg."
At the White House, press secretary Jay Carney said that he understood China's decision to sell the US, but warned that a buyer would have to turn up on eBay before August 2: "After that, the Internet gets shut off." |

(1) The reason Boeing is making parts there is that China told them to make parts there if they want to sell planes to China. This allows them to learn the industry and technology, eventually taking over more and more of it. They use this same technique for other industries. Eventually they come out with new regulations and laws preventing or interfering with the foreign firms in order to move the business entirely to Chinese control. Look at the shipping forms that have moved into China - now that they have done much of grunt work setting up a delivery service the Chinese are starting to interfere by requiring local firms do the work.
The chinese plans stretch over decades. Did you know they have been working on the road system in Pakistan since the 1970s? Many of these roads are up in mountains and are of no economic value. These roads will come in handy though for a Chinese land invasion of the Middle East through Pakistan. Remember what Mao said - he said lets have nuclear war - I can afford to loose hundreds of millions - you, the west, can't.
(2) Google shopping also turns up a lot of completely FAKE shopping sites with shopping carts and the whole "look" of a legit site. Be careful!
(3) Shortly out of high school I invented a product and made some up for a test market. While doing research for manufacturers using those giant thomas register books (back in the day before the internet) I contacted one manufacturer about parts - I got a reply from the Chinese embassy in the U.S. on behalf of the manufacturer. That is what you get when a goverment is married to its manufacturers.
(4) LOL, I recently saw some items in local Menards store - midwest home improvement chain.
Indian made rag rug mats - label said some material was made form unknown fiber content. The first thing that jumped into my mind was people salvaging rags off the bodies of burning corpses during one of their religious practices.
Backpacks intended for kids. The warning label said that this product contains materials that are known to cause cancer under Calfornia regulations. WTF - do the buyers for these stores even look at the products they purchase? |

If you are worried about Chinese manufacturers taking over the world.
Give up its too late they already have.
They make
Your Ipads etc
Most of the parts that go into your computers
Many of the parts that go into your cars.
Your clothes
Your plastic items
Your new San Francisco bridge (pre-fab)
Your Solar panels
Using scare tactics as regards lead, health etc will not stop the tide.
There are only 3 things that will stop the tide.
1 The US Government forcing the Chines to let their Yuan float. (But that will cause higher prices for all your day to day imported goods - would that be enough to re-start US manufacturing ?
2 US consumers to stop buying imported stuff - I doubt that will ever happen - they (you) like/need cheap prices
3 The US running out of money to pay for imports.
This will probably be the one that happens.
For the west to buy Chinese stuff, the west has to have spare currency and therefore the west needs to sell stuff to China and other countries.
China is buying Mercedes cars etc from the west.
And large commercial jets and
It is buying Milk Powder from us here in New Zealand.
But with all of these things you wonder for how long.
China is a big country they can grow and manufacture anything.
But as I say the west needs the money to buy it. |

Agree.
China is just more competitive because they can produce at a much cheaper rate and can produce it of top quality. |
