If you left that as a comment on their feedback to you, beware that the buyer can complain to eBay and get the comment removed, with you getting a warning email.
Remember, buyers are to receive nothing but positive comments. After all, they are more important in eBay's eyes than sellers are. |

ashevillekat wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")Hi All, well today 2 months after she started this dispute my Russian buyer has returned the nightgown! I am out $102.00 but at least I can now relist it.
New question for all you bright stars out there!
I just sold what I deem to be a very expensive item ( a coral snuff bottle for 450.00) to a buyer in Germany. I will of course insure with Inkfrog for the full amount with shipping but how best to mail it? It only weighs 6 OZ. Must I register it ? In that case it must go priority for $13 + $11.50 for registered mail to Germany. 24.00 or about 4.00 if I just send it first class with Inkfrog insurance. What do you international shippers usually do? I only asked for 4.50 for international shipping never thinking it would go this high or need to go international. I dont mind paying the 24.00 if you all think it is necessary. Thanks!if you have less than 10 bucks in the snuff bottle I would not worry about it and send it USPS Priority Mail International and go on.. |

| The young man I spoke to at Ebay this morning told me emphatically that Ebay will not or cannot ( I cant remember which) remove the phrase "con artist". I wonder if I shouldn't take a chance on warning other unsuspecting sellers. |

The address in China is his actual Paypal address and it is confirmed at least .

inkFrog insurance information
inkFrog posted they are raising their rates on insurance. They were asked about it and then ~~BOOM~~ the post was gone and the site shows a rate of 99 cents.
When asked about it to Greg, his response is DELETE DELETE so posts have been cropping up about shipsurance.com and inkfrog getting taken advantage of and in turn taking advantage of their customers.
Here are some links I found about this. Spread the word.

QUOTE]
I do know that Inkfrog has had major problems with a virus that shut down their site for a day or two. They sort of have thrown up a rushed together temporary site. As a result of the virus which attacked the forum they have had to delete years and years of posts which had the Inkfrog communtity up in arms.
The only reason I left Auctiva for Inkfrog was their 55c insurance. Saving over .50 on every item means a big savings to me at the end of each month. However, about a month ago they started announcing that the .55 was an "introductory" rate to get people used to using Shipsurance. I spent a long time relearning a new listing service after having spent years with Auctiva and before that Sellers Assistant previously the free Blackthorne. (Im showing my age!)
I have been having major problems with Inkfrog over the last few days. It is hanging up and not moving. Acts as though my computer has crashed although every other site works just fine. Now that insurance is the same as it is at Auctiva Im thinking of going back to Auctiva. Much nicer templates there. I looked into Seller.... somthingorother (cant remember the name) but it does not offer insurance which I really like buying online instead of the USPS. |

I heard Auctiva is in a hurt locker too. They were getting commissions for referrals to eBay (their main source of income) and since eBay has stopped that offer, Auctiva is struggling.
these companies need to stop squeezing us. It seems from what I heard that Auctiva's insurance rates (cost) are pretty high and inkFrog is just dumb using shipsurance.
one big difference I saw is that you did not need to give any deposit or have a minimum amount of shipments to use worldcargoinsurance.com. I called them today and they did mention a huge amount of people coming directly to them from Auctiva and inkFrog and they gave me a policy in 5 minutes.
I faxed them what I was paying for verification and they said they would be the rates, and they did. By alot! No more shipsurance and like you, I have given up on inkFrog. |

When will you people learn?
There is NO seller protection on eBay. AT any time ANY buyer can simply cancel their payment WHILE your item is still in transit and get the item FOR FREE and KEEP the CASH. As soon as you email the buyer their tracking number and they know it is in transit there is nothing stopping them from simply canceling their payment. Think eBay is going to help - LOL - they will tell you this is technically impossible with the safeguards they have in place.
Even assuming there was seller protection is it worth your time? How much money would you be making during the hours its going to take you to print of copies of every email, paypal records, and other things related to a dispute? Oh and be sure to add the cost of tracking or registration to your letter to eBay as all they need to do is pretend they never got it.
Why are you still selling on eBay? Set up your own site. Hell even use a free web site with banner ads to get started if you don't know html. You are wasting your money. You are a fool to believe anything eBay says - eBay has no morals!
If you sell international eBay IS NOT the way to go. with your own site YOU can determine WHAT kind of payment YOU accept, NOT the criminal organization called eBay. |
