|
|
A few people have been having problems over the last day or so refunding PayPal payments. The normal “refund” link at the bottom of the payment details page has gone – leaving some sellers thinking they were unable to refund at all. Fortunately, the link’s only moved: it’s now in the middle of the page just below the gross/net amounts received and PayPal fee.

| Evidently it hasn't propagated across all accounts. About an hour ago I refunded one of my eBay customers thru "Send Payment" (no refund button) but she was able to "Refund" me to finalize the payment. Don't ask. Suffice to say that a generally easy customer care issue was kinda' confusing due to the inconsistencies. I suppose it's the price of 'convenience'. |

Gee, was your buyer in the UK?
lol
It took me about ten minutes to figure it out also. I said the hell with it and had another coffee. |

Nope. But it was B.C. (before coffee) and I'm treating myself to a couple of cups before I get to work. BTW, I'm glad I worked around it. The buyer left positive feedback and I haven't even pulled the inventory yet! |

Well your little flag is NY - that's a long way from the Gorge!!! ROTFL!!! I can see Oregon from my living room. I take it your reference to "over" means you're on the Oregon side?? Lots to love about Oregon. Even better on a border town  |

You know how it is on forums. I read CNN, flake city. lol
Anyway, I'm over where the Hanford Reactor is in WA. Where my old man works doing some mysterious designing things.
This place blows up, you can blame it on him. :) |

Another break in the space/time continuum? |

| No, I have 2 brothers... I'm the youngest of the family... My oldest brother has a Ph.D. and the younger one is a journeyman electrician. |

My younger brother was a journeyman electrician as well.
Then GM offered him a postition as a Foreman in the same area he had been working. He seemed to think that they were going to fast-track him into management, but he didn't like the fact that the next level up only paid time and a third, and the next level was time and a fourth, etc.
So he transferred over to being an Electrical Engineer without having an engineering degree. |

|
|
eBay sellers who have to refund buyers are finding a glitch that appears to prevent them from recouping related fees. However, there may be a workaround solution.
Typically sellers who need to issue a full or partial refund for a transaction click a link at the bottom of the transaction page that takes them directly to the process refund page. Refunds automatically appear as part of the original transaction when the link is used so that the seller receives a partial refund of fees.

| I dont think this is a "glitch". It looks planned and most likely Paypal is purposely trying to get double fees from their users by having people click on the "Send Money" tab to do a refund. There is still a link to "Refund" on the same page but it is in a new spot. Some people will fall for this play. I thought Paypal was doing good but now it seems they have to resort to tricks to get a few extra dollars. |

| The refund link is still there. They just moved it to the top right under the amounts received. I have had to make refunds since the change and it works like it always has. I think the only "glitch" is the wording for the refunds that they placed at the bottom about using "send money" tab. |

Or it could simply be a case of making the change, but not documenting it properly.
I saw a lot of that when I worked in the business world. |
