We wanted to let all Amazon Pro Merchant Sellers know about Stamps.com Version 8.6 -- the software allows Amazon sellers to import order data and easily print USPS shipping labels including First Class Mail International.
All you need to do is synch your Amazon account with the Stamps.com software and then you can start importing the order data to print shipping labels.
The software will also automatically post-back shipping details including tracking numbers and cost data into your Amazon store. Other features for shippers include:
-- Ability to print First Class Mail International and Media Mail
-- Get 10% off package insurance
-- Insure packages up to $2500
-- Batch printing up to 1000 labels at a time
-- ODBC and XML connections
-- Discounted Priority Mail and Express Mail rates
-- Customs Forms integrated into software
-- USPS acceptance SCAN forms
-- Return Shipping Labels for easy customer returns
You can also import sales order data from eBay, Yahoo! Stores, Google Checkout and PayPal. This is all part of the $15.99/month subscription plan.

Yes, Stamps.com offers delivery confirmation (free for Priority or Express Mail).
Also, Stamps.com will post-back the tracking info for your package into your Amazon store. Once a label is printed, the status is automatically changed in the software and the tracking information and cost are posted back to the Amazon store. You can also export the data to XML files in the Stamps.com XML format.

This functionality seems to be broken. The tracking numbers are not being posted back to amazon, and the orders are not being confirmed. It has to be done manually. It used to work fine, but now is not working correctly. As of 9/28/2010 it's not working.
This needs to be fixed or I want my money back. |

if their system is choked use the stamps/amazon internal shipping system. since you are a stamps.com member there is no extra charge for using it.

for the record i did finally test drive the stamps.com importing from amazon function and found it it to be of little value if your items vary in size or weight.
the import data only includes the amazon order number, but no title or description, which means you still have to go back and forth between amazon and stamps to know what is in each order.
this gives it only a slight advantage over copying into paypal shipping for time-effort and and none for price becuase PP shipping is still free verses $15+ month.
i will say the .07 charge inside Amazon for using the amazon-stamps
system is bargain and a great time saver, and joining stamps.com would be worth the $15 a month if you are shipping 200+ items a month.

Hi,
I'm a pro seller and I'm considering to use stamps.com. I had a question about the sticky labels. I was interested in the 4 on a page pack. Does the program select which of the 4 labels on the page you print on?
Say you only need to ship out 2 orders, then the next day 1 order, then 1 order the day after that. Will the software know to print on the label where there is still a removable sticky part? or will it just print it on a used section?
I would hate to waste many sheets if I don't end up shipping a multiple of 4 orders on any given day. |

Hello,
When printing on a shipping label with 4-labels using Stamps.com, you can select which quadrant you want to print to. You will not need to waste labels if you are only printing less than four at a time.
With some of our serialized label sheets, we will even keep track of which labels you have printed to and automatically choose the next unused label.
Does that answer your question? If you have any more questions, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks!
Chuck

Thanks!
Great news, I was hoping you could select the quadrant. My other question would be in reference to a previous post. One of the guys said that the data that is imported from amazon into the stamps.com program only has the order number and nothing else?
If that is true, that wont be very helpful, and will force the seller to log into both programs. I would imagine that your program should pull up the contents of the order and quantities so logging into amazon would not be necessary.
Let me know, thanks |

The batch functionality just doesn't post back to Amazon with confirmed shipment and tracking number. This just means that I can still batch print my labels. I just have to go manually confirm each shipment one by one in Amazons Seller Central.
Besides, the amazon internal shipping system prints the labels vertically, and I would have to do it one by one (maybe theres an option, but never really looked since I use the software). With batching printing, I load up my orders, and click one button to print them all.

I believe the newest software of stamps.com shows the title of the order. Either way, I never use it. You just have to get a system down. I print all my packing slips first, then I go into stamps.com to make sure the number of Batch orders match the number of packing slips. I spend a few minutes making sure everything is in correct order.
I then select all the orders and click print. All my labels are printed in one go (and the data posted back to amazon, so I dont have to go back and confirm each shipment). I just match the address with the packing slip and if you ordered it correctly, it should be in order so that the packing slip and label already match up.
I do about 20 orders a day and it takes me about an hour or so to do them all using batch printing. It used to take me several hours using paypal copy/paste method. Even the new amazon internal system would take longer since I would go one by one. |

Hello,
We are happy to let you know that our development team has resolved the issue reported here regarding Amazon postback.
If anyone is still having trouble with postback, or with any other Stamps.com issue, please be sure to let me know.
Also, to confirm what 'uncool' said, the latest version of Stamps.com does import additional fields to help you identify what is in the shipment. The latest version of Stamps.com can be downloaded at http://www.stamps.com/download
Thanks!
Chuck

Hello,
To help identify orders, Stamps.com imports the Product/Item Description and the Order ID.
Thanks!

What about quantities of items?
Say I'm selling boxes. A customer orders 3 yellow boxes and 1 red box. Will stamps.com give me enough info so I can know that there are 3 yellow and 1 red in the order or will it just say yellow and red boxes were ordered?
Thanks |
