Carol you are right about eCrater. If I had to choose only one site for products, it would be eCrater all the way!

That's not even possible.
The feed info is gather and sent to google twice a week. GOOGLE decides when they will process it.
YOU have no way of know when ecrater is gathering feed information
Google is having issues with sending the feed results information back to ecrater to post to your store account.
As already said the information you see posted in your store is often behind. |

Yeah, it is not worth it if you have a ton of listings, because it is not worth your time. 99% of you Ecrater sales come through Google, so when Google shuts off the feed your sales will be done.

As usual my ecrater google feed which is supposed to go today i.e. thursday didn't go through even though I listed new items.
Anyone else on same boat? |

| JJJ, as someone whose site submits to google ... trust me, I didn't get the errors on a feed till the next day. Just because it didn't publish today, doesn't mean it won't publish tomorrow. Or there were errors in it, which if so, ecrater should tell you so you can correct your items. I don't sell on ecrater so I'm not sure of how it works. I just see the errors come back. |

I don't care when they update to Google !
As long as they do.
And I am rapt as I joined ecrater 2 weeks ago and listed a few products and they are now showing on Google product Search !
And my products are showing as new ! whereas the Bonanzle Google product Search listings keep showing them as used, even though I have changed the attributes !
Now it remains to be seen if I get any sales through ecrater. Or more views anyway ! |

Just remember don't strictly rely on Google. You have to get out there and promote your store on the net. Start a Twitter page, Open A Facebook Page, Create a Blogger, Join the Forums and talk about your Ecrater Store. Go to the Ecrater Forum and check it out and. They has lots of great Ideas in there on how to promote your store(s) |

Yes, I am in the same boat.
My newly added items after Sunday, April 4, are still not searchable on Google Shopping or web search and today is the 10th. |

| I added some items yesterday (4-21), and within a few hours all the items were in Google Web search. I don't when they will appear in "shopping", but at least they are appearing the same day on a web search. |

I changed some prices in ecrater, and they were on Google Product Search within a few days.
That is good enough for me ! In fact I think its great !
But like the rest of the internet Google Product Search is overloaded with listings. |

My stuff has appeared on Google too!!!! I'm so excited!!!
And not only has it appeared, but I am at the top of the list of entires of course. I'm looking at the long term of this stratigy, like how well I did over five years. I have one last good stash of goodies to sell and I will never be able to replenish this unique stock once sold.
So if Googles take 5 days a week whatever, as long as they keep me showing, and in good upper area it's cool.
In truth, I am not trying to make sales yet at my store. I want 100 items up in six catagories before anyone I know sees it. I want a nice surprise if possible for collectors of my things who has bought before.
But my listing did look nice in Google. |

My last google feed of sunday (5/2/10) failed as ecrater was down due to DDoS attack.My google feed of thursay (5/6/10) went through as normal.
